I don't follow the NFL offseason, so enlighten me please. Is Brady leaving because he feels as though the Pats did not give him an offer that he felt he deserved? If so, is Brady justified in his opinion? Also, which is worse? The Sox trading Mookie or Brady leaving the Pats?

Aww, poor kids. I hope they're not afraid of the ocean. I was once in the water about thigh/hip deep off the North Carolina coast and saw a shark swim past me about 5 feet away. Scared the crap out of me!

You are a good man oldtimer. Personally, I can't watch all of the coverage of the coronavirus, which is pretty much all you see, even on the sports channels. This is a good time to catch up on my reading.

LOL I have Googled some of these unknown references in the past, but usually, I still don't really get it. I think you have to be familiar with the show, or movie, or song, or whatever.

I understand the sentiment that if Sale is going to need surgery, he should just go ahead and get it, rather than postponing the 'inevitable'. The thing is, I don't know that anyone is sure that Sale will need the surgery. If there's a chance that he won't need it, I think that he has every right to see that chance through. Less invasive treatments are always the first option.
