  1. You would pretty much have to quarantine all the players and everyone involved for the duration of the season. That means that players, coaches, umpires, etc. would not be able to see their family members during that time. I'm not sure how feasible that is. And that brings up a question that one of the writers posed. What if a player doesn't want to play? Some may have very real concerns about it.
  2. Interesting. As far as we know, however, no one that was in close contact with Sale became ill.
  3. Don't get me started.
  4. And that's the way it should be. I know a lot of people think he should have had it when he first started having elbow issues, but that's not the typical course of action to follow. I agree with Sale on this one. On a related note, I read an article a couple of weeks ago that there is no evidence that wacky deliveries such as Sale's leads to more TJS. Trying to force a pitcher to change to a more conventional delivery, one that doesn't feel comfortable to the pitcher, probably leads to more injuries and surgeries than allowing a pitcher to go with his natural style.
  5. LOL Was that really a thing?
  6. Maybe managers don't do it as much as I think they do, but I can't tell you how annoying it is to see multiple pitching changes during the late inning of close games. I have to think that it's impact would be more than one pitching change per game. I also like the way it will force the managers to plan their pitching strategies a little more.
  7. I'm with Bell on this one.
  8. That is messed up. That's as bad as starting extra innings with a runner on 2B.
  9. I can see them now. They are right side up and pretty large. Good job Boomer!
  10. Most of the people I talk to think that baseball is boring.
  11. I suppose they could play flag football until the pandemic is over.
  12. LOL I really appreciate the human element side of the Olympics. All the hard work and training the athletes go through for this one moment to experience either the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat. It can be really heart wrenching to watch some athletes and so heart warming to watch others. I know I posted this before, but I thoroughly enjoyed the curling in the last winter Olympics.
  13. I don't watch golf often, but when I do, I enjoy it. I won't watch if it's not the final round though. I have no use for those early rounds.
  14. Uncommon only because they received preferential treatment. That said, I understand your point. I don't agree with it, but I understand where you're coming from.
  15. I love the Olympics!!!
  16. Plus, they do a lot more touching with every single play. For the most part, baseball players don't have to touch each other.
  17. I'm just messing Thunder. Don't take it so seriously. I realize that many people have a favorite sport other than baseball. I'm certainly not trying to make anyone feel bad for loving football. My son is a huge sports fan, and baseball is pretty far down his list of favorites. I give him a hard time about it sometimes, but he knows I'm joking.
  18. LOL I am a fan of the corny joke.
  19. That wasn't the point.
  20. And you would be okay with a tv personality having elective cosmetic surgery during this crisis? What if there were thousands of these surgeries happening this week?
  21. Did Rihanna make a donation to look righteous? Did Shin Soo Choo?
  22. An argument could be made that Botox injections are essential to the livelihood of actors/actresses/tv spokespeople, where appearance is very important. I would not make that argument, but I don't see the difference between that argument and the argument that TJS is essential.
  23. I don't have Netflix, so I can't watch it, but all I keep hearing about it Tiger King. It just doesn't sound appealing to me, but it must be good.
  24. Great to hear Oldtimer! Continued best wishes for him.
