  1. Bill Koch @BillKoch25 · 8h Rafael Devers hasn't been on the field at Fenway Park since the weekend. He worked out at Boston College on Tuesday. What gives? #RedSox manager Ron Roenicke -- 'Sometimes I can tell you guys. Sometimes I can’t. But for right now that’s what we did.' Speculation is that Devers has come to camp a little out of shape and the Sox are not pleased. He has been working with Febles to help get back on track.
  2. I don't like it. It looks like it's just the Sox home games that are starting at 7:30. The other teams appear to be keeping their start times closer to 7:00.
  3. I figured that earlier games would be better as well, but supposedly they did the research. They said that if fans are eventually allowed back into games, they'll likely go back to 7:10 start times.
  4. Haha. I hear you. My normal bed time during the school year is 10:00. Sometimes it's a struggle to make it until then. If I stay up much past 10:00, it plays on my mojo for the next day.
  5. In an effort to increase home viewership, the Sox are starting all night games at 7:30 instead of 7:10. Personally, I like the earlier start times, like 6:00 or 6:30. Once school starts back up, I'll have a hard time being able to finish games that start at 7:30.
  6. Yeah, I thought the exact same thing. The Sox have a tough schedule. And oh, the Yankees are going down!
  7. MLB has found a way to create another cluster. Several teams have had to put a hold on their workouts because they have not received their test results. It's looking more and more like the season won't be able to get started.
  8. I don't even know who/what the Braves mascot was. I guess I do recall the Guardians are using the "C" now. Good deal.
  9. To me it would seem that most of the names and logos would be considered complimentary, but as Bell said, if these things are offensive to the Native Americans, then we need to be respectful of that.
  10. This is my opinion as well.
  11. LOL But do you really know you were negative? Maybe you were positive and asymptomatic. Glad your test came back negative.
  12. I don't know. And did we ever decide how accurate the saliva test is?
  13. Another fair point. Can they change their logos, etc., without changing their names?
  14. Fair point.
  15. You are not alone in that opinion. I don't think the situation with MLB is that dire, but who knows?
  16. I am still hopeful that we will see some baseball. They do have to find a way to get test results back quicker though. I'm not even sure if that's possible. Right now it's about a 2-3 day turnaround for MLB.
  17. I am sure you are not alone in the way you feel. There are a lot of people who really don't care whether baseball is played this year or not. I can 100% understand where you're coming from.
  18. When is basketball supposed to return? Some time this month, isn't it? Are they having the same skepticism as MLB?
  19. Redskins I understand. I don't understand what is offensive about the others. Forgive my ignorance.
  20. People can find a reason to be offended about anything though. I'm not sure if it's possible to get it over with quickly.
  21. There is growing skepticism that the season will even get under way, as more players opt out and express concern over the coronavirus. Supposedly, an MLB player held a birthday bash not too long ago, which resulted in several coronavirus infections. One of the beat writers said that clubhouses are like frat houses. He doesn't see all the players being able to follow the guidelines, and it only takes 1 or 2 behaving recklessly to infect many.
  22. Yes, he will. He will forfeit this complete year of his contract. His prorated salary would have been about $11 million. The Sox were on the hook for $5.97 mil of that. The luxury tax implications of not having to pay that are not yet clear, according to Abraham.
