Jonny Gomes now has 2 World Series rings... saw this on ESPN.com tonight.. JONNY GOMES GIVES AMAZING VICTORY SPEECH It was so amazing, the Royals LF threw -- not dropped -- the mic at the end. The rest of his team absolutely loved it.

I did read where the incoming rain was a factor. Yost didn't want to bring Davis in, then have him sit for a rain delay and come out again to pitch. But that happened anyway. Anyway I think this has the potential to be a good World Series.

I would love to have Lackey back. By the way Lackey is now 8-5 with a 2.90 ERA in the postseason. Kershaw and Price are a combined 1-12 in the postseason. Kershaw 1-6 with a 4.99 NL postseason ERA Price 1-6 with a 4.79. Yes I think Lackey may be worth resigning...

I think I'd rather cut bait with Buchholz and keep Miley. Wade at least gives you inning and pitched near his career normal. He's a good 4th starter.

Well the Cubs move on...and tomorrow it's Lester vs Lackey in the Cubs/Cardinals game. I agree about the Cardinals, but they have had an amazing run and you have to hand it to their franchise from the players to the management.

Any thoughts on Cubs/Pirates tonight? I am leaning towards the Cubs & Arrieta, plus it would be nice to see Lester move on to the NLDS. But either team would be fine by me, neither has much postseason success.
