  1. Thats why he is Automatic Out Jr.
  2. Probably the most dissapointing stat I heard from Alex Spier today is that Hanley only has 29 rbis since May 1st.
  3. Certainly if you factor in the defense.
  4. Hanley's starting to have one of his worst offensive seasons of his career.
  5. 15 hrs in his last 46 games. He's been very good since mid june.
  6. I agree completely. If you remain competitive until late september, you have basically six months of good, competitive baseball to watch. If you are a last place team, your season is over by july and the last two months are tough to watch.
  7. Alex Wilson was very solid in 2013 if I remember correctly. They sure could use him now.
  8. Yup. They traded away all of there prospect starters last year for Wade Miley and Robbie Ross.
  9. Although I do have to say, people they have brought up and put in the bull pen like Noe Ramirez, Jonathan Arro, and Matt Barnes have been pretty horrendous.
  10. They should start throwing stuff against the wall now right now. I agree 100 percent. Kelly, Barnes, and whoever else they believe can be used out of the bull pen next year need to start coming out of the bull pen now. That way if they do suck, it will be in meaningless games this year instead of games that count next year.
  11. If Joe Kelly makes another start, that will confirm that the sox are going for that number 1 pick. He should have ZERO consideration for a spot in next years rotation to start the year.
  12. Might as well bring matt barnes back up out of the bull pen even though he sucked during his time there this year. Also would like to see what Kelly can do there.
  13. Thats true. He has sucked since the world series.
  14. Nothing has been even alright this year except the offense.
  15. This team needs so much help to get good again its not even funny.
  16. Have to make that catch blake.
  17. Yup. He's doing pretty much the same thing as last year except that last year he hit even better in the first half than he did this year.
  18. He could do that more often if he didn't swing at garbage. He had a home run earlier this year where the ball had an exit velocity of 118 mph. He has the bat speed to hit more dingers.
  19. He's a good hitter for a catcher, but that doesn't mean he's a good hitter compared to league average hitting among all positions. Plus he's not a great catcher yet.
  20. If you can get good pitching, I'm all for it.
  21. If cv is healthy, its a no brainer.
  22. It hasn't been easy for him and he's had a number of balls smoked off him, but overall a solid job so far by owens against a good offense.
  23. I personally think they have given him more than enough chances. Although his velocity is undeniable, he was never really regarded as a top 100 prospect from what I have heard and read( although I could be wrong with this). In addition, at least three of the five rotation spots next year are already filled up. Buchholz, Rodriquez, and Porcello will all most likely be in the rotation to start next year. That would leave the final two spots to any combination of a free agent, Wade Miley, Henry Owens, Brian Johnson, or Joe Kelly. Depending on what Johnson or Ownes do, Joe Kelly could end up being buried next year if he is not moved to the pen.
  24. Try him in the pen now. I would rather him suck out of the bullpen this season when the games don't matter than next year in more meaningful games earlier in the season.
