  2. We threatened to rally like this late in the other two games but had some terrible luck on balls in play.
  3. White Sox have the best rotation ERA in the American League, they've been very fun to watch. Unfortunately for them, they've also gotten very lucky with home runs so it probably won't last.
  4. Lavarnway will be back in the minors by the weekend. That Lohn Lackey fiasco didn't help his stock.
  5. The White Sox bullpen depth is pretty bad.
  6. Kuroda still has a ways to fall. His ERA wasn't going to be 2.00 runs lower than his xFIP forever.
  7. Sink or swim time. This is Jose's last option year.
  8. Red Sox are first in the majors with a .348 wOBA against righties and 15th in the majors with a .312 wOBA against lefties.
  9. I haven't seen Manaea in the top 10 in many mocks since his hip injury/control issues earlier in the year. I doubt this affects the talent that will be available to the Red Sox.
  10. You're forgetting intangibles.
  11. Workman effort from the Merlot line. Very impressive win considering how lopsided the officiating was. Rangers have had ten straight power plays go their way at home.
  12. Huh? Tons of experts are predicting the Red Sox will select Moran or Frazier. Moran seems the most likely to me, he's ranked right around seven on most reputable mock drafts.
  13. Sean Manaea's injured, that should make the decision a little easier for the Sox. He was one of their more likely candidates but his stock had been falling prior to the shoulder tightness. https://twitter.com/keithlaw/status/336855502363430912 Frazier, Moran and Shipley seem like the three players most likely to be drafted by the Red Sox. That is, of course, assuming that a higher regarded prospect doesn't fall to 7th.
  14. Callis had this to say on the Red Sox pick. "Boston has selected this high just once since 1967, getting Trot Nixon with the No. 7 choice in 1993. The Red Sox are looking to maximize their opportunity and will take a high-ceiling talent such as Frazier, Manaea or Stewart. They’re also interested in sweet-swinging North Carolina third baseman Colin Moran." Both Callis and Jonathan Mayo have the Sox taking Frazier with their pick. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20130515&content_id=47666630&vkey=news_hou&c_id=hou http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft/jim-callis-mock-draft-1-0/ Shipley would be more of a consolation prize. But Keith Law, Callis and Mayo had Shipley going between 5th and 8th overall.
  15. Krug came from the AHL where he broke scoring records for a rookie defensemen. NBC refuses to acknowledge that the AHL exists because they don't have a contract with them. http://www.stanleycupofchowder.com/2013/5/20/4347786/dear-nbc-time-to-acknowledge-the-ahl
  16. In all seriousness, John Lackey's been pretty good this year.
  17. There's the error, expecting the implosion any time now.
  18. Trevor Plouffe is the Twins cleanup hitter?
  19. Middlebrooks! I hope no one's upset he went opposite field.
  20. What are the chances Lackey looks great his first three innings, then an error happens and he implodes?
  21. Bailey Uehara Tazawa Breslow Miller Wilson Mortensen
  22. Thanks, but what day is it? Haven't found much about it on the internet.
