  1. Lets see....three runs down.....Miller vs Price. Negative on the very winnability hypothesis. Unlikely is a better choice of words.

  3. First, Miller didn't do well in his last start either. And second, his wildness problem has not yet been solved. Other teams have given him a shot and he was released from them too. There is no need to keep trying to squeeze water from a rock; there are alternatives.
  4. Sure. Lets give up the rest of them to rent a pitcher for two months
  5. Miller is the new DiceK. Its safe to say that the Andrew Miller experiment is over. And to think that we have another stiff going tomorrow night.....maybe Beckett will win on Sunday.
  6. I can't see Epstein trading away any top level prospects because our farm system is now ranked average to below average as the four links below illustrate. Its time to rebuild that system, not rape it. http://www.aolnews.com/2011/02/10/2011-farm-system-rankings/ http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/prospects/rankings/organization-talent-rankings/2011/2611472.html http://www.deepleagues.com/?p=2336 http://bleacherreport.com/articles/561480-mlb-power-rankings-farm-systems-for-every-mlb-team#/articles/561480-mlb-power-rankings-farm-systems-for-every-mlb-team/page/12
  7. At what price? Bedard is another pitcher who is probably available and he has performed well, but again, at what price? They won't be cheap. And if Lester and CB do make it back what do we do with our new SP? I would rather get a quality RHH corner OF to replace Drew.
  8. You If they do not wake up soon we will be out of the ALE race. On June 29, 2011 you said this. Good call lmao, oh noes we lost to ze Phillies it's over!!!!! Did I say that we ARE out of the ALE race? If so, find the quote. If not, admit that you are a fool. You: http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm138/sawyer1701/IMG_0767.jpg
  9. Gee, I don't know. Why don't you check the standings. I guess Olney has a twin
  10. I was told that Crisp's suspension was reduced to five games. Hopefully Ortiz will just get 4-5...hopefully. He should get an extra game just for stupidity.
  11. Crisp got 7 games in 2008 for charging the mound...I suspect Ortiz will get the same. Stupid move by Papi.
  12. Ortiz has to use his head there. We got the Rays right after the ASB and we could use his bat in the lineup
  13. Dude we lost the East we should just fold as a franchise we will never win the East again okay. If we manage to get into a 6-7 game hole, then what you say about winning the ALE is true for this year. The Yankmees do have a solid team this year and barring injury, we won't catch them if we fall that far behind.
  14. Is there a rule on this forum against being passionate about the Red Sox? And publicly expressing that we are frustrated when they lose? Is everyone here required to watch the game like a robot and restrict their comments to either pompom waving or quoting statistics? Boy...there sure are a lot of people here who like to complain about the complainers. In my book, its all good. They do well, they get congratulated and their accomplishments should be duly noted. They play like crap, like the last 8 games, and why not lay into them a bit? And BTW: why is the game thread closed so soon after the end of the game when there are ongoing discussions on it?
  15. Lackey pitched very well tonite, unlike what he has done all year for us. I hope you are not trying to debate that fact....
