I split from the game thread. Its hard to waste time watching such garbage. You guys here on the thread are all great, but if I am here on the game thread that means I have to watch the game too. Besides, I had to plant the vegetables in the soil today. Better things to do than watch this disgusting team, in other words. I have no problem trading our offensive pieces for good or great pitching. And yes, we need a reliable ace. It should be clear the neither Beckett nor Lester is an ace; they are complimentary #3 SP IMO. Buchholtz has to prove he can still pitch. He has the rest of this year to do it because this is a lost year anyway and we can afford to let him wallow in it for a while. The team is a mess. And its really NOT very talented, at least not talented enough. Time to blow it up.

I would prefer Lincecum to Hamels; and I don't think Buchholtz has much talent. He had ONE full season for us that was good. The rest of the time, its the deer in the headlights look.

Turn it off Jung. Its not worth the aggravation. I hope more and more fans vote with their feet. Thats the ONLY way to hurt the ownership and force a change in the product they are stuffing down our throats.

Apparently not SFF. Seems that he sucks too. His very short rope is at an end. Today, for me, this game is over. It was over after the Orioles scored their first run because of how it was scored. More sloppy baseball. Frankly, I have better things to do that watch this sorry bunch of loser bums all summer, and I plan on doing them. Until they offer a product worth watching, well, there are alternatives. This team sucks.

One man's molehill is another man's mountain. I don't like dishonesty in any form. I don't like being lied to. That is apparently more tolerable for some fans than it is to me. You are right: its pretty simple. Some people tolerate dishonesty and others call out the liars when its noticed. -
Lets admit it: this is a crappy team that will be battling all year long to get out of the cellar. I would like an apology from John Henry for putting this group of losers on the field and calling them a Red Sox baseball team.
