  1. He seems much more selective. Nava always seems to have good ABs. Not sure how long this can continue for him, but its been a fun ride.
  2. I sure hope the FO sees what we are seeing too. There is no way they can send down Middlebrooks, Nava, or Kalish right now or even when Ellsbury and Crawford come back. Those kids bring enthusiasm to the clubhouse. Contrast them with the fat cats who take up roster spots and contribute little: Gonzalez, Youkilis, and yes, Pedroia. I would like to see Lavarnway up pretty soon too, though I am not sure where to put him.
  3. BTW: Rays down 5-2 in the 9th. We will be two games behind the Rays in the lost column. This team was on the precipice but has come back nicely. Still in the race.
  4. That was last year. I think we can stipulate that last year he was very very good. This year he is injured, pressing, or both. He has sucked and he earns too much money to suck.
  5. Wow...great win. This game was won by the kids: Middlebrooks, Nava, and Kalish, along with some great RP from Atchison and Ace. The fat cats on the team keep filling spots in the lineup, but its the kids that have the enthusiasm to produce wins
  6. THat was the third strike to Infante
  7. This could be a real sweet win...
  8. Lets go Ace...no drama needed
  9. The other way to look at it is that its unlikely Nava can keep this up. Could we package him with Youkilis to get some quality pitching....?
  10. Gonzo is such a stiff this year....unbelievable
  11. I would walk Nava to get to Pedroia....mistake by Guillen
  12. This game is ours for the taking
  13. Look at his statistics for the year. Very very good. This year, he is like JD Drew. Or worse.
  14. That HR was Youk's ticket out of town.
  15. Its not going to be any different than what I am saying now. Its the final season stats that matter.
  16. Yeah, he's waiting to pad his stats until we are mathmatically eliminated. There is no way he can make up for the damage he has done to this team for the first nearly three months. Not for what he is being paid.
  17. There is still time. But we have to slam the door on the Marlins. Any more runs for them and its going to be very tough. This is the third game in a row we have surrendered five runs to the 14th worst offense in the NL. The pitching continues to be the issue.
  18. Pedroia keeps damaging his team. No balls out of the infield tonite.
  19. Who knows? Wrong angle of trauma? Its much easier to complete a tear once its started.
  20. Nope. That was the first inning. This is the sixth. And no, child rape jokes are not funny.
  21. Thats a definite possibility. Once its torn, its weaker. And yes, they ARE that stupid. This game is getting away from us. One more run for the bad guys will do it.
