    It was still a mistake to play Nunez over Holt v a RHP no matter what Betts and JDM did tonight, no matter how many runs we didn't score. Your manager has to put his team in the best possible position to win games. I don't think he did that tonight.

    I think that slugging can get you into the playoffs, but its pitching, defense, and timely hitting that win championships. As long as the Sox SP stay healthy there is a reasonable chance that if they get into the playoffs we could compete for a ring this year.

    Thats what I heard. OB said it during the broadcast several times-that he was expected to play today but that he wanted one rehab game on Friday night. Obviously batting practice didn't go so well.

    Meanwhile Mookie was supposed to play in a rehab game yesterday and didn't do it. He was supposed to return to the lineup today too. Looks like his injury is lasting longer than expected.
