I stand corrected. Thanks. I admit that I am not the best source of information for this kind of thing. It seemed that Aviles' momentum would be the deciding factor, but apparently that is not the case.

Thanks for playing nicely. I played some baseball, but not past HS. I am not the best source for advice on fundamental baseball, but I am willing to learn. On that play Aviles' momentum was towards first base. Why was Pedroia on second base when he had his momentum going away from first base. Just asking.

Well he got the "E"; he dropped the ball. Seems like it would have been easier for him to complete the DP than Pedroia because his momentum was toward first base.

Once Albers got the ball it would be an easier play for Aviles to cover second for the DP. Pedroia would have had to pivot to make it.

He has pitched very well lately, sometimes in long relief. He has the stuff to do well. Had a rough patch, but seems to have overcome it. Regardless of what SCM says, Maholm does stink. We should have at least six runs against him already.

Nine K's in 4.2 innings. Wow. Not totally unexpected, but certainly welcome. This guy deserves a chance to become a SP next year.

I am more concerned with winning this game than Morales getting the win. If he starts to lose it, we gotta get him out of there. This is a big game.

It was the OF's ball. I agree. But once Pedroia gets his glove on it (and he was there in plenty of time to make the play) then he has to complete the play. Pedroia talks too much. I don't hate him. I think he talks too much.
