  1. 17 He has a good chance to lose 20 games. And thats hard to do. I don't know why he still has a job.
  2. Porcello is actually throwing poorly...the Rays are just missing the meatballs. Until now.
  3. Because thats all we have?
  4. Thats a fair point. However, right now I do not see these three heading in the right direction for whatever reason. Its possible that Bogaerts is still hurt. Betts is capable of much more than what he is giving. As for Hanley, I don't see him as being much of a threat any more. Adding one additional bat, even someone of Stanton's caliber, isn't going to fix our problems. The only way we advance far into the playoffs is if our pitching becomes lights out.
  5. I think we should be the favorites to win the ALE. That said, I can't see us getting by a more balanced team like the Guardians-or, unfortunately, even the Yankees.. Sure, anything can happen, but the lack of productivity on offense should have been addressed at the trade deadline IMO.
  6. The problem with this team ALL YEAR has been hitting, not the pen or the starting pitching. I do not expect our pitching to suddenly implode, but neither do I expect our hitting to suddenly catch fire. I cannot remember a Sox team that finished in last place in the league in HRs.
  7. I was there until the end, but I wasn't on a forum. Just watched it pitch by pitch on gameday on my iphone. Being on the west coast makes that easier.
  8. They are now 11th in OPS in the AL; they average 4.73 RPG, good for 7th. And these bums rank DEAD LAST in HR in the league. DD made a mistake ignoring the offense at the deadline. This is his fault.
  9. There is no more time. He needs to get a phantom injury and Johnson has to be given a chance to start. No more time....
  10. I think its time to sit Porcello and give someone else a chance in his spot-Brian Johnson comes to mind. Might not be any better, but Porcello has been pretty consistently bad.
  11. The manager is responsible for making sure his players are awake and focused out there. With a better manager half of those mental mistake would not have been committed.
  12. Devers is at .900. But I agree with you. Not enough offense to make a deep playoff run.
  13. I think its time to think about sitting Boegarts so Nunez can play every night.
  14. LOL...Moon, you have always been a Brentz fan....NOT!
  15. This ^^ I think we are not being told the truth about JBJs injury, not that we deserve to be told the truth. Initially I thought that this was a poor acquisition, but Davis is hitting over .300 for about the past five weeks with an OPS of over .800. If he can stay hot he can help the team.
  16. Beat you to it.
  17. Interestingly, Barnes only blows on the road. His OPSa at home is .504. Maybe he should only be used for home games.
  18. Prophetic, Ex.
  19. Why is Bogaerts still playing? He is useless.
  20. Why not also move Vaz up in the order for home games? I think he leads the league in BA or close to it for home games.
  21. Devers is something else....CRUSHED!
  22. How much of that execution failure belongs to the manager?
  23. I'd like to see him get more hits period. He is at .255/.754 with a WAR of only 2.5 for the year. He has the talent to do better.
  24. He was grabbing his back.
