It was definitely the right thing to do. I really hate to agree with Alex Rodriguez, who was doing the game, but Cora screwed up. I take my chances with Bogaerts...or Betts...or Devers...with a guy on 3B with one out.

Yeah, he has. He should have come up in last night's game with Bradley on 3B with one out, but Cora allowed Hernandez to hit away rather than bunt JB to third. No doubt if Betts was up he would have driven in the winning run.

I agree with you. Its not a very interesting game to watch. Most diehard Sox fans will still watch it and will probably watch the rest of the games this year too, despite the likelihood that this is not a playoff team. We are all getting that sinking feeling I am sure. -

Unfortunately you are right. We will get to witness the ongoing mediocrity that is the 2019 Boston Red Sox. As for Sale, well, its almost August. He is highly unlikely to turn it around this year. Sure glad we didn't sign him to a long term deal.....oh wait......................... -

There is no cogent reason to expect that either Sale or Porcello will turn it around this year. And without them....no playoffs. Oakland wins tonight; the Rangers are ahead. So one game further behind the A's and the Rangers have caught us. That makes four WC teams ahead of us. Tough assignment. Even tougher when our ace sucks. -
