  1. This game isn’t close to being over. I think we will need at least 5 runs to win this. Sox will blow this
  2. And that’s the ONLY way we are getting Duran in
  3. Here’s a chance for Bogaerts to show his worth
  4. It’s going to be hard to get Crawford out of the starting rotation
  5. He’s on a pace to have 68 RBIs as our cleanup hitter this year That’s not going to cut it
  6. One thing Crawford is doing tonight is getting ahead in the count. Too many Sox pitchers haven’t been doing that
  7. 30 is a larger sample size, obviously. It’s more indicative of his performance.
  8. Especially if it means sitting Bradley down
  9. This (not bringing in runners in scoring position) is getting really old. Two all stars can’t even make contact
  10. I didn’t say it’s ALL Cora’s fault. As you wrote, the players need to be responsible for their play too. However it’s the managers job to keep his players heads in the game. You don’t see the Rays playing unsound ball. I think Cora needs to make an example of a player to get their attention. Belichick has done that. So has the former Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy. It works. As for the team being a AAA team-that’s almost entirely limited to the pitching staff. Besides Kiki what other important position player is out?
  11. That could explain a high ERA. But idiotic baserunning and dumb plays like Bogaerts did today are more indicative of a lack of focus. And that’s Cora’s job, to keep his team focused.
  12. And that’s really the problem. I don’t like losing to the Yankees but this year I realize they have a great team and we don’t. There’s no shame in getting beaten by a better team-as long as the effort is there and the player’s heads are in the game. But getting beaten like a drum by the low budget Rays over and over again because, primarily, we made stupid mistakes that even little leaguers don’t make is downright embarrassing. Henry needs to apologize to the fans and Cora needs to get the team’s attention, possibly by benching one of the brain dead players like Verdugo, Devers, or Bogaerts. Lacking that we likely won’t be playing baseball in October.
  13. I guess it’s over Tomorrow is another day! 😒
  14. I turned off the game. I don’t like watching Little League baseball. It’s not even just defense. It’s NOT THINKING. Not having your head in the game. And that’s on Cora for not getting control of his team.
  15. Anybody ready to make an example of a player yet? Bogaerts with the most recent example of brain dead baseball. Unwatchable Outta here
  16. Yup This loss will not be his fault. Their SP is tough, which makes base running mistakes lethal.
  17. Verdugo owes the team an RBI
  18. Well apparently he didn’t have such a good chance at making it to 3B, did he. Bad judgement. Youk is right.
  19. Youk is right and you know it. It was another bad decision in a series of bad decisions. And if you count the near total lack of plate discipline this team is showing then it’s easy to see why they haven’t won a series against the ALE yet.
  20. The TEAM is doing it a lot. You have to make an example of someone to get the team’s attention. Best done with an important player.
  21. He didn’t use that term. I wrote what he said: that Devers “had to be sure he could make it”.
  22. So you are saying you shouldn’t USE YOUR HEAD when choosing to take a base?
