    This is not a good team. Its not a bad team. Its worse. Its a MEDIOCRE team. 5-0 already. Haven't won a series in the ALE this year. So glad they got ".220" Trevor Story. Martinez is finished. This team is unwatchable.

    I was referring to his performance during his entire contract. This year so far he has sucked. But he’s a good hitter and he will likely turn it around.

    To be fair he has actually performed pretty well here. This is a rough patch for him for sure and if he can’t find his stroke (which I think he will) his options will become pretty limited next year.

    Isn't his contract up this year? If so he sure isn't doing himself any favors. Its early July and we still haven't won a single series against the ALE...and we play them a lot for the rest of the year.

    I think being mediocre is even worse than being bad. At least if you are truly bad you have a chance to improve by getting good draft picks. The Jays are a good team. The Rays......less mediocre is a term I can live with.

    Bello might some day turn into a decent RP unless he can command a third pitch. Throwing hard alone isn't going to cut it in MLB. This team is racing towards the bottom now. I think its likely a fourth place team by years end. I know the Yankees and Jays are better and so far the Rays are better too.

    Not much, more than likely. Bogaerts is going to be a rental only. We won't be getting equivalent talent in return. I don't mind him being gone, though I wish we could keep both him and Devers, but of the two, lets keep Devers. No more lowball offers.

    I agree. Robles is useless. Danish isn't far behind him and he should get DFA's if only because his name sounds too much like a cream puff. Seriously, this team really needs two solid RHRPs. SPing is solid, but our pen sucks.

    He just started facing real hitters what- six weeks ago? It takes time to recover from TJS. He’ll be fine.

    I would bet that next year Sale will be very good. And if the Sox make the postseason he will finally get the monkey off his back. We need a couple more very good SPs and a better pen. Might take two years.
