  1. Dude, we are in LAST PLACE! We are even behind the Orioles! We haven’t won a series against the ALE and it’s AUGUST! Wake up and smell the roses. This team is going nowhere. I don’t care what Bogaerts wants. He is leaving after the season anyway. Sure, the players will try to win at times. At other times they will play like “what’s the use”. They know they are going nowhere and so does management. I thought letting Vasquez go was a smart move because we got two prospects back and if we really want him on the team he will be available as a FA after this season. Bloom isn’t operating for this year. Maybe not for next year either. He is also under orders from Henry to get the budget down to $108m. We might be relevant in 2-3 years but certainly not this year-and wishing it were so doesn’t make it real.
  2. We are in last place going nowhere. Haven’t won a series against the ALE all year. They hurt themselves enough to do themselves in a month ago. Bogaerts can rest for the remainder of the year for all I care now. This team is toast.
  3. Bogaerts is resting up for the upcoming offseason
  4. I wish we had given Martinez away for nothing. He is washed up
  5. They are way past being in trouble and the players know it.
  6. That’s been confirmed now. Included in the trade are Dalbec, Bradley, a bag of golf balls, and 100 TalkSox posts of the Padre’s choice.
  7. He’s just playing like the pro he is.
  8. Gotta hand it to Nate. He isn’t mailing it in even though his team made more brain dead plays. He’s pitching his butt off out there.
  9. The vets know where this team is headed this year. But what’s the plan for the upcoming years? They likely won’t be competitive next year either. Two more years of this? Three?
  10. Who else should they flush before tomorrow? There aren’t many position players worth keeping. They can’t keep both Bogaerts and Devers-I keep Devers. Keep Duran because he might work out. Story. Kiki maybe. Verdugo. That’s really about it.
  11. This is probably the worst Sox team since the sucked back in the 60s. Just disgusting. They could at least show up. I hope they blow up the rest of these bums
  12. More brain dead baseball. This team is going to be even harder to tolerate
  13. He said management promised him he wouldn’t be traded.
  14. Still could happen even though Bogaerts says it won’t
  15. He’s leaving after this season ends too. I don’t think he would get us a haul.
  16. Yup It’s a slap in the face all right. I hope the fans respond by boycotting some games.
  17. They traded for a catcher too.
  18. Vasquez is walking at the end of the year. The Sox are under Henry’s direction to cut salary. It’s a relief to see that the management has a realistic view of this group of losers now. I hope they can somehow keep Devers. He has by far the best bat on the team.
  19. Yeah, but the scariest part is that management will think they have a chance to get into the playoffs and try to acquire someone rather than flushing this dumpster fire down the toilet.
  20. The yard sale starts immediately after this sweep
  21. The pressure on Wink today is to throw the game without appearing to throw it. Sox MUST lose today because that would remove any temptation for management to continue hoping we can turn it around. By the end of the day there should be no doubt whatsoever that we are the sellers that last place bottom feeders all are.
