  1. Between the two I would rather keep Devers.
  2. Then you can have him on your team. Bradley is useless with a bat in his hands and we cannot have that kind of black hole in the OF. It was absolutely the right move. The fact that Duran is a defensive liability out there doesn't change that. Duran might improve defensively. If he doesn't we might need to find another CF, but Bradley is not that guy. My guess is that he will soon be selling used cars.
  3. They are exactly as good as their record says they are. As SS pointed out that record says they are mediocre, which in my book is worse that bad or good. Good is fun to watch. Bad and you at least get a top draft pick. Bad for a team with our budget is a disgrace, as is mediocre
  4. They are exactly as bad as their record says they are.
  5. Not imo It’s best if we lose as many games as possible for the rest of the season. Better draft position. This team is soooo easy to hate.
  6. I thought Bradley had an $8m club buyout.
  7. I am being completely serious. The season is over. Our best interests lie in losing as many games as possible. Getting a competent DH means we may win more games.
  8. He looks lost both in the OF and at the plate
  9. It was a smart trade imo. The team is clearly not making the playoffs so tenting Vasquez to the Astros for two prospects is fine. If there is mutual interest he can be resigned after the season because he will be a FA.
  10. Cora has lost control of his team. He can’t return next year.
  11. Until he wasn’t. He had to open his mouth with a comment about the direction of the team. He thinks management threw in the towel when they traded Vasquez-which very well might be the case-but players should be seen and not heard when it comes to management decisions. Their job is to take the field and play their asses off.
  12. Bogaerts is mailing it in. Just struck out on a ball a foot outside. Obviously doesn’t really care any more, not that I blame him. He should just be sent home.
  13. Dozier is about to put the game away
  14. Why? They should remain in last place and lose every remaining game. It’s about getting better draft picks now. That’s all that left to play for and unfortunately that involves losing,
  15. Just tonight? It’s been months of brain dead baseball. That’s on the manager
  16. He was always a flash in the pan. He is a #4-5 pitcher at best. Career 38-46 with an ERA over 5.
  17. I heard they were asking for two little league prospects and got no takers.
  18. That was dumb for sure. But it wasn’t by itself the last nail in the coffin. There were a lot of mistakes starting with getting Bradley. Not addressing the problems at 1B and OF promptly. Henry’s edict to get costs down, Cora losing control of the team as evidenced by the brain dead baseball they are playing for months….etc
  19. To be fair to Bloom the owner has hobbled him by demanding to get the costs way down. Generally you need money to win-or a lot of luck.
  20. Yeah, while Bradley laughs all the way to the bank. This deal was a mistake. Any deal obtaining Bradley would have been a mistake. He has been washed up for years. Maybe he can sell used cars.
  21. Dude, we are in LAST PLACE! We are even behind the Orioles! We haven’t won a series against the ALE and it’s AUGUST! Wake up and smell the roses. This team is going nowhere. I don’t care what Bogaerts wants. He is leaving after the season anyway. Sure, the players will try to win at times. At other times they will play like “what’s the use”. They know they are going nowhere and so does management. I thought letting Vasquez go was a smart move because we got two prospects back and if we really want him on the team he will be available as a FA after this season. Bloom isn’t operating for this year. Maybe not for next year either. He is also under orders from Henry to get the budget down to $108m. We might be relevant in 2-3 years but certainly not this year-and wishing it were so doesn’t make it real.
  22. We are in last place going nowhere. Haven’t won a series against the ALE all year. They hurt themselves enough to do themselves in a month ago. Bogaerts can rest for the remainder of the year for all I care now. This team is toast.
