  1. That’s the second time in the past couple of games he has made a baserunning blunder. That tells me he lacks focus.
  2. Nope Two years minimum. Next year we will all have to hold our noses again.
  3. It’s all for the best. We need to lose every remaining game. This team sucks and we will need the best draft picks possible going forward.
  4. Get rid of Eovaldi and the Rangers pen will blow it. Still, it’s better if we lose.
  5. Get rid of Eovaldi and the Rangers pen will blow it. Still, it’s better if we lose.
  6. Yup. Last place again. I expect the same or slightly better next year too-and unless Henry opens his purse it could be several more years before we are competitive. So hold your nose again next year and hope for the best in 2025.
  7. Here's one ranking where they are ranked fifth: https://www.nbcsportsboston.com/mlb/boston-red-sox/red-sox-shoot-up-to-fifth-in-new-baseball-america-farm-system-rankings/548563/#:~:text=NBC%20Universal%2C%20Inc.,the%20major%20league%20club%20better. But you're right: there are no pitchers in our farm system worth even an honorable mention. Thats concerning. We are going to have to obtain via trade or FA probably two high quality SPs to become relevant.
  8. If I am interpreting this right Fangraphs has the Sox farm system ranked THIRD: https://www.fangraphs.com/prospects/farm-system-rankings Others have them lower-but the farm is a lot better than it use to be.
  9. He wasn't all bad. We now have the fifth highest rated farm system. That bodes well for the future. Of course we will have to tolerate another year or two of holding our noses watching this team but eventually, hopefully, our farm system will pay dividends.
  10. While it’s certainly best to lose all remaining games it’s obvious that these bums have given up-just playing out the string. They should be giving everything they have every game. That’s not happening. It’s inexcusable.
  11. Sweep! Sweep! Sweep! What a crap team of losers we have!
  12. Trevor “.180” Story up
  13. We are AT LEAST two years away from being competitive. Way too many holes to fill and way too much of a Broom mess to clean up. Next year will be another hold your nose year.
  14. It has to be intentional.
  15. Duvall stinks. I won’t miss him. This team is definitely (and wisely) tanking.
  16. Bloom could not spend without getting the approval of ownership. And Henry had already issued a directive to reduce payroll. I think we were around 13th in payroll this year, a significant departure from years past when Henry was much more willing to spend. But hey-its his money, his business. We are just poppyseeds in the bakery of life, right?
  17. Last place Boston Red Sox Has a very familiar ring to it. Unwatchable team.
  18. He's not that good at cheating. He got caught.
  19. Well that was certainly an inspiring game!
  20. Mediocrity is THE worst. Bad means no expectations and a better draft pick to use for future success.
  21. I can feel the excitement about this series here on the forum! It’s contagious!
  22. Pretty heavy LHH tilt. I don’t see Ref as anything but a bench player and Reyes isn’t exactly a power hitter so Duvall is our only real RH power hitter if Turner leaves as expected. Duvall is too streaky to be dependable. So we’ll still need to replace Turner with one or two RHHers with power. Just one of our many needs.
  23. You’re assuming Turner won’t be back. If he leaves they will need to replace him with a RHH power bat. Too many LHH.
  24. Duran had a pretty good year. If he’s not in CF he has to be traded if Rafaela is our CF.
