  1. I'd like to face the A's instead of the Tigers. Soo hoping the A's pull it out tomorrow. I think the Sox would demolish the A's starter far more easier than the Tigers plus the Tigers lineup is scarier than the A's. And f*** You Joe Madden!!! Now TBS can't show his face every 5 seconds. He just said it was his plan for Hellickson to only go 1 inning. He is such a f***ing lying douche!!! Now he can go bleach his hair more often now he'll have plenty of time.
  2. f*** Yeah!!! Koji is the s***!!! Kinda fitting to end the Rays season with a strikeout of Longoria
  3. Great game... Beating Price and Moore f*** yeah!!!
  4. Didnt get to watch the game tonite, had be on a train all night loading coal for America and wondering how the Sox were doing. When i got cell service back i was soo pleased to see game 1 be such a blow out. I hope the offense keeps rolling. And well done Lester well done sir!! I also liked to note. Carl Crawford strikes out top of the 9th to end the game with a runner on first in a 3 - 4 ballgame. Classic. Choke artist.
  5. I just dont see McCann leaving ATL. And yes the Sox could sign him if they wanted but why spend more money on a older player to come in and have to learn the pitching staff and not be that much of an upgrade. Id say resign Salty. But like always if someone doesnt agree with your exact thinking you ridicule them and question every aspect of their thinking process like you are some expert of the FO thinking. Well sorry to say you are not if you were you wouldnt be on a Red Sox discussion forum making your comments. Please Stop.
  6. McCann is another pipe dream. He will cost more than Salty and is a small upgrade for the money he would command. Plus i dont see McCann leaving ATL. Also Salty's ability to call games in my opinion has gotten far better, he will never be a great defensive catcher but I think he deserves a contract and Ben should work fast on him after the season's end.
  7. It would be nice to see JBJ play over a full season before handing him the job before Ells departs but that may be sooner rather than later. Teams will be calling Boras checking in on Ells' asking price and one team will try to overpay and may land him other than the Sox. I hope hes here next year along with Salty and Napoli. Id say Drew is on the outs. And a couple of relievers maybe form within, and atleast one starter. Demp done well for eating innings but would rather see him depart for some prospects. A rotation of Buch, Lester, Peavy, Lackey, and one more starter brought in this offseason with Doubrant waiting in the wings or a starter from the Minors giving his shot. I like Workman or Barnes to feel out the rotation. Im excited for the playoffs and hope the Sox win it all. After that this offseason will be interesting and i hope Ben works his magic again and gets us back to the playoffs for many years to come.
  8. Agreed. But Cano is not gonna get $300million from anyone. And if Boras prices Ells outta town then i hate to see him go and think we will be alot weaker in the outfield and on the bases plus leading off. I hope they bring him back and im thinking that if we win it all Ells will definitely be back, i mean i know Boras is all about getting max contract but if Ells wins another Championship here hes not gonna want to go to a team like Seattle who is gonna overpayand for him to stand in the outfield and watch 4 outta 5 pitchers struggle only expection being King Felix. I hope Ells is back and use JBJ for pitching.
  9. I woulda liked for the Sox to have won this game just to say f*** You Showalter!!! Farrell is gonna have to quit letting relievers just stay out there and struggle. Leaving Doubrant out there as long as he did was insane. But im guessing that he wont be on the postseason roster after today's performance. This was a test that Doubrant failed miserably.
  10. I can see BC going after both Ells and Choo and finally picking the better option out of the two. I hope Ells returns i really dont see the need for Choo, as he will block Gomes/Nava/Carp in LF, Vic is gonna be in RF for the next two years. So basically its the matter of CF and i can see BC going after Ells but if Boras asking price is too high then JBJ will get his chance i honestly dont seeing JBJ being an upgrade over Ells at all but if he plays good defense id be ok with him. I think if Ells comes back and has a good postseason and the Sox go far or win it all i dont see BC breaking the team apart to to get new faces in here. We know Ells works here, we dont know what Choo will be like plus i dont see a need for a corner OF unless his last name is Stanton but that is a dream and wont happen.
  11. Need to have Kevin Millar as an analysts on MLB Tonight. He would talk about the Sox and then top off the end of his commentary with an ice cold Budweiser!!!
  12. This is the dumbest thread on the forum. What more does the Sox have to do to get respect? Just stupid....has to come from a Yankees fan
  13. Whats up with MLB Network? WMB hits a grand slam and they dont talk about it. If it was the Cards or the Pirates they would not stop talking about it. I dont know if its just expected from the Sox and nothing new beating teams like this they been doing it all year. Oh and does anyone know if Ells is alright, i seen he came out early in the game just didnt know why? Congrats to Todd Helton on a team great career. Sorry for the blow out in your last game at Coors Field
  14. Glad to see WMB have a game like this with his struggles in recent weeks. Hope he carries this on into the postseason and keep it up next year.
  15. If Girardi gets manager of the year, Cashman had to be sucking voters all over baseball. Francona will prolly edge out Farrell for manager of the Year, not that i think its right but thats prolly what will happen. It seems everyone in the baseball media world is shoved up Tito's ass and im happy he got another job and glad he wrote a book, but that aside i hope they lose in the Wild Card game if they make it in.
  16. I think we will still need one more. And we will own the tie breaker if the A's tie us.
  17. I sit on the side of caution with Abreu. I liked your post on how the team should spend its money this offseason and i too believe they should bring Ells back. The luxury tax is upped this year i believe. And where Boston has been under for the last 2 years doesnt that mean that if they were to exceed the limit doesnt that mean they pay a lower percentage rate for going over as opposed to the teams that year over last year?
  18. Agreed. I feel like BC will sign Nap to a 2 year deal. The strikeouts are a killer, and from what ive read about Abreu he is projected to be a masher but also have about the same line as Nap. Then you go back to the argument that Abreu hasnt proven anything here and Nap has. Im under the mindset that Nap has been big for us and caught fire at times and carried this team, I know Abreu is younger but still the team chemistry and moving Nap out for a guy that is unproven and could strikeout just as much, I think its best to leave this team alone and resign Nap. We all know what Nap is like on a team with the whole team supporting the beards and seeing all the guys loose and having fun. I just worry about bringing Abreu in and him acting as a cancer like AGon did and hurting worse than helping. Id stay with the safe bet offer him a QO and try to extend it to a 2 year deal. Let the A's sign Abreu and see what Billy Beane can get out of the kid or the Marlins they need him more than anything and prolly will go hard after him if they dont they should just become a Triple A team.
  19. I could see the Sox offering Nap 2 / 26 deal with the same incentives and terms as this years deal. Nap will prolly want more garunteed money but that is to be expected and i think the Sox finish up the same money deal as last offseason with more garunteed money but still a performance based contract.
  20. WMB will be the 3B next year. If the Sox were in on moving him and had no confidence in him he woulda been moved at the deadline for KRod. He is in a slump now and everyone is back on the bus of getting rid of him but everyone was praising him for coming back up and being on fire. He had to come back to Earth at some point. He has been hitting the ball its just been rockets right at people not as many swinging Ks as before he went down. The kid has a lot of upside and i dont see the FO moving him.
  21. Im not sure if Joe G is just wanting to make better pitching match ups or hes just trying to get his fat ass relievers some exercise on the run in from the bullpen. Needless to say that Anything Fitness is not a sponsor for the Yankees.
  22. That ump is calling everything a strike. The umps must of got together in between innings and figured that if they hurry and get this game over with they can get a couple more rounds of post game beers in before they have to call it a night.
  23. The last Yankee vs Sox game on ESPN that Kruk broadcasted his was shoved up A-Rod's ass that nite too. Maybe A-Rod has given him a lil $ to not say bad s*** about him or something.
