I agree very much with you here. The Sox spin has to be that they "monitored" that fool this off -season to save face with the fan base. If anyone is really satisfied and believes that they in fact monitored him very closely, it is the same as just saying that they are absolutely incompetent. If he can play an adequate third base, I guess most people will be satisfied. I probably will not be because I think we have better options begging for a chance. Players that work hard, care about their fitness and are just flat out better than he is. I'll say it again, i don't think that anyone in that front office or any member of the coaching staff is pleased with what they saw when he came through the door. If he doesn't perform early, I think that his days in Boston will soon be over.
