  1. Hill seems like he could be much more useful as a starter, if he were to perform like he did in 07.
  2. Aceves either had an unusual hiccup, or this is a sign of what could be if he were to start. I seem to remember someone on here saying that if a lineup gets too many looks at Aceves, he's toast. That may just be the case.
  3. Thought Morales was a lefty.. Depending on how useful he could be, Miller is a lefty too.
  4. I hope Melancon can step it up, because thus far, it doesn't seem he is impressing anyone right now.
  5. I'm starting to like the idea of Cook and Doubront filling out the rotation over Aceves and Bard now hahaha
  6. Fair enough, just throw him into an active volcano then.
  7. If Melancon really is a flyball pitcher like the announcers were calling him, we'll be in for lots of 8th inning heart attacks this season.
  8. Agreed. Albers looked much better than Melancon.
  9. That's one way to get Iglesias on base.
  10. Andino hits to left and it gets dropped by the fielder.. Sound familiar?
  11. That's what my parent's marriage counselor said.
  12. It will pay in dividends for years to come. I have no doubt of this
  13. Because hitting for average, for power, good defense, and speed on the bases just weren't reasons.
  14. 1 inning of 7 run ball is probably still better than John Lackey.
  15. A cow could pitch in relief?
  16. As long as the piranha are attracted to injuries, then it should work. I don't know though, I can't really see Jenks tasting that good, even to a flesh eating fish that devours practically anything.
  17. I say we keep Aviles honestly. We're going to need a backup for when Youkilis goes down. It's going to happen, and when it does, we need someone on 3rd base. Aviles may not be the best answer, but I could think of worse. If anything, trade Punto. If Iglesias starts, then we already have one middle infielder with superb defense that can't hit. We don't need two.
  18. Hopefully the Sox do release him, at least that way it will free up a spot for someone who is actually useful.
  19. I say let Bard start in the 4th spot and either Cook/Padilla/Doubront in the 5th spot, or maybe even split time at the 5th starter's spot to see who does better. Then in June/July/Whenever Dice comes back, move Bard to the pen, and move Aceves into the rotation, and make Dice our long reliever/swingman. I don't think he'll be ready to start necessarily when he comes back, so why not let him get some pen work instead. He may be useful from that position. That way they can limit Bard's inning count by splitting him at setup with Melancon, or split at him closer with Bailey. Aceves probably wouldn't have thrown as many innings as Bard by this point, so having him do a little starter's work shouldn't be a problem.
  20. For 'normal' people isn't it a felony now? I thought it was a mandatory revocation of your license. At least it is in some states, I think.
  21. One or both of those is pretty likely I think.
  22. Apparently playing in the MLB is a free pass to get drunk and drive around. I don't get it, these idiots have money, why not f***ing pay someone to drive your drunk ass around? I mean partying is one thing, but what is this guy partying for? I guess getting paid by the Sox and not having to do s***? I didn't realize that celebrating failure was a good idea. At least his fat ass didn't kill someone.
  23. Simon Mercedes doesn't sound like anyone's real name. At all.
