At least Bailey was injured, and not the one who was blowing leads.

Put Aceves back into his role from 2011, along with Padilla who looks pretty competent in the long arm situation so far, with Melancon/Bowden/Thomas for the 7th, try Morales at setup, and try to swing a decent trade for Uehara and see if he can close for awhile until Bailey is back.. I think the pen would be a lot better than it is now. If Melancon can find his sack and remember how to pitch that is.

700, they may just call it BC surgery after all. Andrew Bailey takes a shower, requires Ben Cherington surgery on his thumb. Josh Beckett scratches balls, requires surgery. What's next?
