4 of the Yankees very best pitchers (German, Britton, Chapman, Ottavino) were all horrendous, but it still ends up as a W. It's a funny old game.

I think it's kind of unfortunate that so much attention is given to the matter of Hall of Fame inductees not getting 100% of the vote. It has taken on a life of its own over the years and become an unnecessary sideshow that tends to diminish what's supposed to be a great honor. People will find a way to screw up anything.

In last night's game, over the final 3 innings, the Yankees bullpen chalked up the following stats: Wins 1 Holds 1 Saves 1 Blown Saves 2 It's no wonder some of these team relief stats are a little hard to decipher.

Seriously. Rivera pitched 141 postseason innings and gave up 11 earned runs for an unbelievable ERA of 0.70.
