  1. Will do, Mr. Werner. Should i proceed with the plan for that little "accident" to Daniel Nava? The fans are getting restless about him starting the year on the 25-man. Thank God i come to TalkSox to gauge fan interest and complains for the team.
  2. I think they'll be just a wee bit better and end up right down the middle at number seven or eight. Remember that the Astros will move to the AL West and are guaranteed to have one of the worst ERA's in the league. I think the Sox will have a better ERA than: Baltimore, Minessota, LAA, Houston, Cleveland, and the Royals, with Toronto and CWS being longshots.
  3. Maybe we could meet in the middle: SFF could take off the rose-colored glasses and Jacksonian could stop being an unrelenting *******. Right now, the rotation, with its "depth" should be good for about middle of the road in the AL. Not top five, but not as bad as last year. Now kiss and make up girls.
  4. Vibram five fingers. I wonder if they'll be interested in a marketing deal featuring him. I haven't had much luck selling bricks and need to try something new, sir.
  5. They did not consider Anderson a superior prospect. Stop making stuff up. The Padres targeted Rizzo because he was the better of the two.
  6. Will do, Mr. Wener. Do you want me to bring Jacoby along and have him trim his eyebrows like last time to help ratings with the female population?
  7. Oh hi, my name is Ben. Nice to meet you. I run Larry''s errands 'round these parts.
  8. Then again, there's the inherent danger of trading for/giving big money to a pitcher, because of how easy it is for a single injury to wreck a pitcher's career.
  9. This is better formulated. I would personally part with Bradley and Bogaert, but not Barnes. Pitching is too hard too find, and this team lacks it.
  10. That's terrible reasoning though.
  11. The problem is that Stanton can't pitch. I'd trade Bogaerts and Bradley but hold onto the high-tier pitching prospects.
  12. Fred, i sincerely apologize. I obviously made a request you simply can't fulfill. You can't stop being an idiot, so please continue at your leisure.
  13. Not "When", "If". And they can cross that bridge when they get there. Also, saying a team with as many rotation problems as this one doesn't have room for two multi-inning relievers in its bullpen doesn't make absolutely any sense. If anything, it should be the other way around.
  14. That's exactly what they should do IMO.
  15. But they could pout like whiny bitches, demand a trade and poison the clubhouse. We've seen what road that leads to...
  16. Doubtful. The only way i would see that working is if Lackey has a setback.
  17. I don't understand the thought process that leads people to believe either Morales or Aceves would accept an assignment to AAA to start the season.
  18. Packaged with Salty, for the love of all that is holy.
  19. Are you contradicting Lord SoftLaw? Guess that makes you a mental midget.....
  20. But there's still a significant chance he won't be ready by opening day. Don't get me wrong, i'm cautiously optimistic about Bard, but we need to wait for results.
  21. Really now? He hasn't thrown to live hitters at all. There's a point where optimism becomes naivety. Bard is a complicated case, and there's the possibility he's screwed up. We should wait for him to actually pitch before we declare him ready for the Majors again.
  22. Not sure Bard starts the season with the big club.
  23. I think Morales and Aceves both start the season with the big club. Even more so Aceves, who Farrell likes.
  24. I'm talking about the MiLB guys exclusively. Morales and Aceves are good spot starters, but flip-flopping relievers should be avoided if you have already amassed depth, which is what i advocate for them to do.
