  1. Good to know. So how do i really feel about Pitbull?
  2. And WMB needs to NOT hack at those.
  3. Need to hack at those with two strikes.
  4. They better score a friggin' run here.
  5. lolwtf?
  6. No Papelbon please.
  7. So i don't know what i think, but you do? That's a new one.
  8. Mauer makes way too much money and he's very injury-prone.
  9. No it doesn't. In this case, the point is that hitting a couple bombs for a guy who does not get on base or hit well with RISP really doesn't mean much.
  10. The funny thing is, that in general stats, the numbers don't reflect this. The difference in OPS vs RH and LH starters is negligible.
  11. I really don't understand how a team built to hit LHP, can't hit LHP.
  12. This is a very fair take, but i used MLB catchers' 2010-2012 numbers. Nevertheless, you are correct in your assertion that the main problem is his defense.
  13. I've read a couple sources saying Cliff Lee "wants to win", meaning he probably wants to get the f*** out of Philly. As much as i was against it because of the money he costs, if the team is competitive but needs to boost its starting pitching for the stretch run, i could see it happening.
  14. But but but Jean Segura and Kyle Kendrick will provide equal value!
  15. It actually isn't. The average catcher the last three years posted pretty much what Salty did last year in terms of OPS. But the problem is that the average catcher had a .322 OBP to Salty's .288. If you subscribe to the idea that the most important aspects of offense are getting on base and to avoid making outs, Salty is very much below-average.
  16. This is failthought on so many levels. The Red Sox haven't been winning because they haven't been hitting, and Iggy isn't hitting s*** at AAA. Stop spewing nonsense.
  17. Yeah that .728 career OPS and .305 OBP are monster numbers. Hitting a couple bombs a year doesn't take make a s***** hitter any less s*****.
  18. Salty IS a weak bat and he also sucks defensively, so........
  19. The importance of making contact.
  20. It's the same data if i recall correctly.
