Joe Pa actually did the right thing by reporting it to his superiors. We all probably would've called the cops, but he didn't technically do anything wrong. In his contract, it states, if he suspects anything like this, to report it to his higher ups at PSU. Now when he invited the douche bag back? Completely different story.

But it certainly helps. I had Francoeur in there, but as he and KC have a love-love relationship, I'm thinking it will be Beltran now. Before 2011, Ellsbury was never a "big bat", and it's likely he will regress back to normal next year. We might as well get what we can for him now. I think we'd be able to get a solid SP.

I know, that's why it's impossible for them to both start. One of them has to go, but I'm not sure which. I'd probably keep Kalish, but it'd be a very tough call.

They can't be better options when they're both unproven. We have no idea what to realistically expect from either. We know we'd prob get 110 solid games from Drew.

I know I will get crucified for even suggesting this, but here goes. What about bringing back Drew on a 1 year, incentive laden contract, a la Adrian Beltre?

You do when you realize you only have him for 2 more years, and it's very very unlikely he ever puts up numbers close to 2011 again.

I know this has probably been brought up, but....... How will teams address Prince Fielders defensive flaws? He absolutely needs to go to the AL. He is already a liability in the field, and as he ages, it will just become more pronounced. You will need an all-world 2B and RF to mask his shortcomings in the field. One thing I have noticed about him though, is that his defense hasn't actually declined, it's just been mediocre the entire time. I know this might be a terrible idea, but could he possibly play LF / RF better than 1B? I can honestly say I haven't seen much of him playing, so my thoughts are all based off of word of mouth and stats. I know it's a shot in the dark, but how can a team justify a $22M DH / -2.0 dWAR 1B?

RIP Smokin' Joe. My wife broke the news to me this morning, and I promptly watched Frazier-Ali 1 before work. He put up a good fight but it's too bad he had to go, 67 is way too young nowadays.
