  1. s*** david needs to be up there with guys on
  2. Well I would have gladly taken wall ball there iortiz...hell I was callin' for it. Agons got a couple that he could have gone that way with but just did not get there and by then he was set up for that pitch down and in which is usually a good pitch for a left hander to hit. I guess if I wanted to complain on that at bat...Agons had to think he was coming in there and with two strikes I would have preferred that AGons stop looking to the outside corner to wall ball and just protect the plate. He might have had a shot at that. However the golden rule...good pitching beats good hitting and that was a very good sequence from the pitcher.
  3. Sox only get one run outta that....so damn frustrating.
  4. Thought he was going to come in there eventually. he had AGons set up for that.
  5. s*** AGons was sitting dead red there
  6. Good time for a wall ball AGons
  7. C'mon meat bring that s*** to him
  8. Oh boy....here comes Pedey's revenge...he is pissed off and Pedey usually channels his pissed-offness pretty good.
  9. ya' know Mike you are a hell of a hitter but there is another field besides left.
  10. Damn did that thing die out there in left. Hey its a run....I'll take anything at this point.
  11. Hey who is this Middlebrooks guy. Any chance of him being anything?
  12. Blow it up!!!! Sorry guys I just couldn't help it. Needed a little levity.:D:D:D
  13. Bard did pitch poorly tonight. He pitched reasonably well for two innings but really did not establish anything to build off of. That said he was toughing it out at least. The team playing behind Bard tonight is more responsible for where they are in this game than Bard. He has still pitched poorly tonight...no question. That combined with a well pitched game by the opponent who has even overcome errors by the team behind him.
  14. For Native...The A's got their 1st run in the 4th on a Cespedas double followed by a Smith RBI hit. Bard has been very erratic tonight. He just did not have his best stuff and there were some pitches he just could not throw for strikes at all. The game looks very much like last night's game with the A's starter pitching a very good game and the Sox simply not playing enough baseball. The A's committed errors in the 5th I think which got the Sox two men on and nobody out. Byrd could not lay down a bunt successfully and then Aviles tried to pull a ball that he should have just tried to dump into right field and that was that for the one opportunity they had so far. Aviles was in fact safe at first as he beat the throw on the little dribbler that he hit but that really was not the issue. You have seen the rest. C- performance from Bard tonight and a D- performance by the team behind him so far.
  15. To be honest...because we are playing stupid baseball like we were last night combined with the fact that the A's pitcher is doing a very good job on the mound. Stupid baseball combined with a good performance by the opponent's pitcher is a recipe for a lost game.
  16. The opportunity in that inning was for Mike to just dump that pitch he grounded into right field. That was a very good pitch to do that with and in fact Mike grounded out because he was still trying to pull that. He wasn't even trying to just dump it into right field. This is in part one of the things that I find really frustrating about the way the Sox play ball. You guys are right also...Mike was safe but that was still not good hitting And then there is that terrific Sox defense.
  17. Great inning. The Sox get breaks in order to get runners on and then just stumble through the rest of the inning executing like s***.
  18. that was piss poor. He was just jabbing at it 13. No successful bunt...runners not moved at all.
  19. Please Marlin get this down
  20. WMB with a blast for his first hit...pardon the hyperbole.
  21. An error...all right...anything for a baserunner.
  22. A's pitching is definitely good enough to be troublesome and that should be expected. The Sox are getting blitzed by these guys. Even with deficiencies in the line up I don't expect the Sox to get mowed down.
  23. The A's have good pitching and sometimes very good pitching but Geez they are not necessarily headed for the HOF. I thought they would struggle with Milone but did not think they would get blitzed by these two guys last night and tonight.
  24. It is only 1-0 but Bard is making his life more difficult than it needs to be.
  25. Nice at bat Mike...He went down so fast he was in the dugout before NESN caught up to him.
