    I still think that under the pressure of AL hitting, Hanrahan has been overthrowing. Either that or he can't get those fat tree stumps for legs to clear and he is compensating.

    Yea if anything we need Mortenson and Miler now and at least one of either Aceves or Bard....surely it will be Aceves. Bres arrives just in the nick of time.

    Baseball has got to be the greatest game ever. We are in the game on long ball contributions from Pedey and Drew and an extended pitching stint by Mortenson that really saved our bacon. Then our hulking catcher legs out an excuse me hit followed by a hit from the slumping WMB and finish it off with Drew again. Crazy....just plain crazy as the man said.

    I sense that Hanrahan has been overthrowing a bit the whole time he has been here. Has done nothing to improve his pitching and may be partly responsible for his injury.

    I would bet it is Taz with Aceves and/or Bard coming back to fill in the bullpen.....and maybe Webster gets a spot start at some point to regroup the rotation if Dempster has to go tonight

    Seems to me that Webster is going to end up back here sooner rather than later........no? Seems like we will be scrambling both rotation and pen. Dempster already warming.

    Running 3-2 with two outs makes sense if the runner is on 1st cause if a walk you are just going to be given second base anyway and if a K, inning is over. You are not risking anything. But that was not the case here. He was already on 2nd so he was not going to be given 3rd on a walk. He would have stayed at 2nd on a walk.

    I don't think I agree with Remy on this one. I likely would try to pinch run for Ortiz here.....and just as I say it, pinch runner in for Ortiz

    I have not seen much of the happy go lucky, joking after just giving up a bomb Miller lately either. Maybe it has finally sunk in that the Sox are not going to accept carp pitching from him just because. He has come out for his stints and been all business for a change. His motion has not been all flakey like it usually is and he has been getting better results. Don't understand why so many of these guys have to be slapped along side the head to get anything to sink in.

    Looks like Farrell is trying to sneak this last inning out of buch. Might work. Really don't like the way he is throwing though so it looks more like a gamble to me than anything.

    Yea I know...now WMB is really thinkin' about it. Now they are getting him on pitches pretty close to what should be his sweet spot. I don't even think he should try to be a complete hitter. I think he could definitely end up being a great hitter.
