Ells slugging at a whopping .352...holy cow Was that his OPS? Went by on the screen too fast and I may have actually missed what that was.

Rodney really f***ed up here. I think he could have gotten WMB if he had been more careful with what he threw 0-2. Could have teased him with a couple and then dropped that change on him. Instead he challenged Will and paid for it big time. Love seeing Maddon look sullen on his way to the mound.

As in TURN ON ONE.... Tellin' you guys..he may well turn out to be the best mistake pitch hitter in baseball some day. Get him something middle in and he is MONEY!

By the way...I am not claiming that line up change will be a sure fire cure. But it does not look like the current lineup has any chance of improving. Ells is in serious trouble, Salty is well Salty. Not sure what to think with regard to Naps. I would rest him a game or so every once in awhile though. He looks to me to me to be swinging a tired bat. Gomes has been doing very little.

Naps K's again. Rodney is tough but Naps is K-ing from Goldie-locks and baby bear.

Ortiz walked on four pitches. I think we will see more and more of that.

Vic has for the most part changed his approach at the plate (with the exception of AB's when he is purposefully swinging for the fences). He has been hitting to put the ball in play and dump it into the outfield for base hits. I think he would be fine at the top of the order and would surely be better than Ells. I would like Pedey second...maybe Nava, depending on who is pitching. Desperate for somebody to protect Ortiz but we just don't have anybody. As I type, Rodney walks Ortiz on four pitches. I think we weil see more and more of that.

Yea when I referred to Farrell's patience, I meant with the lineup. We don't have an option in some cases. I don't really think we have somebody that can protect Ortiz other than Naps for example. He either does it or it does not get done. However, Ells has got to come off the top of the lineup. If we get to the next stop in this trip and Ells is still at the top my head is going to explode. Guys that have not done badly have just grown grey sitting on the bench while the crew that goes out there day after day has just not produced consistently. Ells needs to move...Salty needs to sit for two things.

Jeez, Ells numbers going through the basement. I wish Farrell would make a few changes on this road trip. Would rather he look at doing some stuff out here on the road than wait till he gets home.
