  1. And Josh Hamilton hit that ball hard at nobody
  2. Wow, really think they should pull X and get that looked at...
  3. "How it's done bitches".... says the new pitcher to the veteran staff.
  4. 3 up, 3 down. Great for that young man!
  5. kid looks like a big dude on the mound
  6. I hope Josh Hamilton gets it all worked out, just not offensively tonight...
  7. Maybe Hanley needs to DH for a week or so, let Ortiz sit a few games out, see if that wakes up Ortiz's bat, cause I agree... Hanley on defense, specifically the outfield has not helped us.
  8. Night all. I'm off to work. Enjoy the nightmare.
  9. FFUUUUCCKKKKK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I usually never swear.
  10. OK, get somebody up in the pen
  11. Well I got called in to cover a night shift tonight that is short on man power, while that sucks... at least it'll be an excuse to turn this game off. I NEVER enjoy watching these knuckleballers. I'd like to see them turn it around tonight, but I'm becoming less optimistic all the time.
  12. Your sarcastic post makes the point well, it would be silly to trade them or blame them... but if the team is not winning, at what point do you give value to keeping these superstars? Isn't the point to win games, not have trademark players on a losing team? I realize there is not much logic here. I've been posting out of frustration recently. Sucks watching the team lose over and over again.
  13. Without a doubt you are right, but at what point does one say... regardless of logic, stats, etc... this simply is not working?
  14. I think we had the same second baseman through those years. In addition the core includes management. Pedy, and Papi are supposed to be the leaders of the club adn solid bats. Buch should be a dependable starter. The connection through the last four years is the team sucks.
  15. Me, probably neither, this team is not one player away from being a good team. I take either a power hitter or ace- which ever is younger and gives me the best chance to build around.
  16. It hasn't matched for 3 / 4 years... and performance was well over talent level in 2013... so basically the core of this team sucks.
  17. For whatever the reason, the hitting is awful. If the ship does not right itself at trade deadline time... I'm honestly thinking they should trade some of their big name offensive guys.. Pedroia, Ortiz, Napoli, etc... IF this year continues to play out as it currently is these guys will have led the team to be basically the worst team in baseball 3 of the last 4 years. As iconic as I feel Pedroia and Ortiz are.... it ain't working. What's the benefit to keeping the players we have? The results of keeping them is that we are an awful team. Something is prohibiting this team from living up to it's potential.
  18. Like everybody on here predicted.. the pitching will work itself out but the hitting is going to struggle. LOL, Nobody saw this coming. The at bats are just painful to watch. Just get your bat on the frickin' ball! Pedroia, Oriz, Napoli... those three especially need to step up. Heart of the line-up, veteran leaders... hit the ball fella's, earn your oats.
  19. And it's not just not getting hits.. it's awful looking swings and at bats. Maybe all the extra sleep he is getting is not good for him, lol.
  20. I think I'll watch the Cubs Padres game, I have several of my fantasy players in that game, it'll be more fun to watch.
  21. You are probably correct. I'm posting more out of frustration than logic.
  22. Nap should hit a homer now and prove me wrong...
  23. Yes, because converting a catcher that can't hit to be our first baseman and converting a SS that can hit to be our left fielder, but can't play outfield well.. is much different and not helping us win at all ????? That's an actual nightmare we are seeing right now. Having a better hitting first bman and better defensive left fielder can't be that crazy.
  24. He would not do any more damage on defense than he is in the outfield. I'm sure most MLB ss's can play first base.
