  1. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I think I just have to laugh at this point.
  2. LOL, as I said on page one... I can't take the hit parade too seriously.
  3. Remember those few innings at the beginning of the Blue Jays game on 6/12/15 when our team had it going on? Good times.
  4. I wonder if alcohol is involved?
  5. I think Dustin should stay the lead off man going forward no matter what. He is excelling there, and takes pressure of the younger guys.
  6. That's some TOUGHNESS there from Mookie... that is someone stepping up and being a leader.
  7. What's sad is that I can't take it serious.....
  8. Ummm.... it's 4 nothing... good at bats from Ortiz and Big Sandy back to back... where is every one?
  9. If Ortiz homers here, the Sox will turn things around. If he does not get on base... don't bother watch any more games. This is our groundhog moment.
  10. Man I love Xander this year. He must have really put some work in this off season.
  11. While it's never good to disrespect the boss, I'm glad to see some frustration with losing. Most here would have celebrated players doing something like that to B.Valentine a few years ago. Ferrell is turning out to be as much or more of a bozo.
  12. Thank you!!! I've also heard about how we are spoiled... If someone has been watching the last 5 years and is still watching most of the Red Sox games, they are a die-hard fan...
  13. Not mutually exclusive, but anomaly would be the better word.
  14. The awful crash at the end of 2011, The 2012 last place team, the last place 2014 team, the embarrassing 2015 basement performance. .... 2013 was the enigma.
  15. Tonight's game, and the following series interest me. If the Sox either get swept by a division rival, or lose two series in a row to series rivals, at this point it tells me they have no interest in getting out of the basement. Something major needs to happen if we have any hopes of getting out of the basement. Baseball is supposed to be fun... this debacle of an organization has not been fun to follow. I'm not sure what keeps ownership from changing management if this keeps up by the all-star break. This team is good enough to be winning- and they are constantly under performing. Last year and so far this year... it's just flat out embarrassing watching the play that is produced from the Sox. Doesn't ownership have enough pride to be pissed about this? And I don't care what anyone says... this is not because of Hanley and Panda signings... the problem is more systematic and encompassing than one or two players.
  16. Cause last year with Middlebrooks worked out well for us....
  17. I find myself agreeing with everything I'm reading here. The consistent under-performance is embarrassing and frustrating. I think we make a mistake to blame a player or signing. This mess is too consistent and encompassing to think it's just because of a signing or two. Properly motivated and managed, this team should be winning the division. SF and Dodgers both managed to be very successful with Ramirez and Sandavol. There is a sickness in this Sox organization that we can't see. But seeing the effects of it for 3/4 years makes it well known it is there. The culture with this leadership (owners, coaches, scouts, veteran players...) results in no drive, focus, determination, etc.... I wish it wasn't true, but it is. Looking at the past 3/4 years- I fear it does not matter what player we bring in, what trades we make, if we "blow it up", if we go with all young players etc..... We will get the same results until new leadership reinvents the culture.
  18. While the Panda signing does not look good right now, don't you all think the issues with this team are much much bigger than one or two signings? There does not seem to be much intensity, focus, drive, etc... on this team from top to bottom. As bad as Panda appears... SF managed to win more than one world series with him. As bad as Ramirez appears the Dodgers managed to win 86, 92, and 94 games with him the last few years. This is an organizational cultural issue, not a player here or there issue.
