  1. If you're hoping Lackey and Wakefield step up I think you're going to be pretty disappointed.
  2. Just like last year.
  3. I love it when a division rival has an ace that we consistently beat up.
  4. Nice! I don't think anyone's going to be claiming that Ellsbury's soft this year.
  5. I'm glad the Yankees have Martin. He's a .219/.323/.388 hitter with average at best defense who the Yankees are going to ride like a horse because of his "intangibles".
  6. All considered - it sounds like this could have been a lot worse. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this injury is as minor as everyone's reporting.

  8. Boo! That's obviously a cheeseburger.
  9. Really? It was high and up the line, watch the replay. He had to reach across his body to make the tag.
  10. He was safe, but don't feel too bad about it. God knows we've gotten more than our fare share of bad calls against us the last couple of years.
  11. I'm sure McDonald will get get credit for this, but that wasn't a good throw. Some people just think any throw that gets the runner out is a great play. This was no different then when Gardner made a throw up the line and the runner was still out by a mile on the ball that went between Pena's legs the other day and Yankees fans were claiming he saved the game.
  12. The pen's been dominant ever since we stopped pitching Jenks in the 8th and Wheeler went on the DL.
  13. There goes the 1-hitter.
  14. At least it's not a shoulder, elbow or hammy. From what I've read on previous players with lat strains it's highly dependent on the severity of the strain. There are players who were out 15 days and players who were out 6 weeks.
  15. God damnit. I was so excited about finally seeing him pitch this year in person.
  16. No worries guys, I just received word that Dr. Gill is transplanting stem cells into all of the Red Sox starters arms as I'm typing this.
  17. I'm not one to panic, but it is rather strange that they haven't said anything. Even if he left with an injury, you'd think they would have mentioned something like "shoulder tightness" or "cramps" by now. I'm starting to wonder if this was really something strange, perhaps there's a family emergency or maybe he just heard that Casey Anthony was found innocent.
  18. I'm pretty sure the sunlight reflecting off his teeth is the second biggest cause of global warming.
  19. Anyone would be. I was advocating for us picking up a starting pitcher before this came out about Buchholz or Lester was pulled from his start. There were no signs of injury to Lester though so I'm not going to assume that he was seriously hurt.
