    I bet Crawford will get a lot more hate from the fans here than he deserves over the length of his contract because he's not the typical patient Red Sox hitter with power. Then again, Drew was that typical player and fans still hated him.

    You know what's funny? With all the talk in the pre-season about how lefty heavy we are, we're 2nd in the majors in runs scored and OPS against lefties.

    Olivo was one of the few guys who I thought played well or at least was still trying when the Sox faced the Mariners.

    You can't really fault Tito there if that was his call considering Crawford not only swung at ball 4, but swung through it. You're counting on the player to take ball 4 or make contact there.

    Great play by Gonzalez. That's not an easy throw to make when you get a good feed.

    They've got a few pieces people might be interested in. Cust would be a good buy low option, Figgins could use a change of scenery and I'm sure there are some teams that would like to get their hands on Gutierrez. Nothing that's likely to net them a new crop of prospects though.

    Guys! I just came up with this really great idea. It involves using these statistics called sabermetrics in order to find aspects of the game that are undervalues and build a team of inexpensive and undervalues players in order to compete in a small market. I'm thinking of calling it Funnyball. Totally my idea... promise
