  1. Nothing like facing Phil Hughes to bust a team out of a 17 game losing streak. Of course it wasn't all Hughes fault, this one was a team effort with 4 different pitchers giving up multiple runs and Granderson letting another fly ball drop in. Hopefully the fact that Hughes "only" gave up 2 runs to the worst offense in baseball will give the Yankees enough hope to start him another 2 or 3 times despite the fact that he gave up 9 hits and walk.
  2. We should send Miller down to try him out as a reliever. No on will claim him.
  3. Felix vs. Hughes tomorrow. Hughes may be pitching his way out of the rotation if something doesn't change soon.
  4. That's enough baiting in the game thread for a lifetime. Welcome to ignore.
  5. I don't personally know any Red Sox, no I think it's safe to say that they don't care whether we refer to them as "them" or "we" on TalkSox though.
  6. Not Morales' best outing but he's been very good overall since we acquired him.
  7. That was a bad play by Ellsbury, Morales should have been out of this already.
  8. Told you it was because of the shift.
  9. But then I couldn't call him our Miniest Valuable Player.
  10. We're not going to be starting Andrew Miller in the playoffs. It's all good.
  11. I never had an issue with fans referring to my team as "we". I thought it was great that they cared enough to show up in the first place.
  12. I've been saying this from the beginning - he sucks.
  13. Anyone still hating on Tito for resting some of the regulars tonight?
  14. A week ago he was hitting .242 with an .844 OPS. Going into play tonight he was hitting .243 with an .844 OPS. But that's just because of the shift.
  15. By everyone but Yankees fans. Remember that trip-aces bull they had with Phil Hughes, Joba Chamberlain and Ian Kennedy?
  16. Carl Crawford with the bases loaded. This couldn't possibly end bad.
