I'm just coming back in myself. I had a very busy winter, but I'm ready for Opening Day!

Have you guys seen or watched any current MLB Players before they came into the MLB? I find it cool to find out that you knew about that guy before anyone else and watch them become a star. I have seen: CF AJ Pollock, Diamondbacks - From my town, watched his High School games OF George Springer, Astros - Went to UConn, went to a few of his games there, was the best player on the team while he was there. 1B/3B Mike Olt, Rangers - Also went to UConn, didn't recognize him until he broke out with the Rangers last year SP Matt Barnes, Red Sox - Best Pitcher on that UConn team, currently the ace of the Sea Dogs There are probably a few more that I've seen, but I can't think of anyone right now. What about the rest of you?

See, that's the fun part. After August, I won't see him for a while, so he might forget about it.

That's a good move for them. They need depth at first with Tex out, even if Overbay only has a minor league contract.

Yes, compared to Jeff Green against the Heat it is no big deal. If the Celts had won, everyone on ESPN and stuff would be making a big deal out of it.

Yeah I agree. He should be called up around June, but for sure by September.

Just announced that Xander, Drew Sutton, and one other will go to the minor league camps.

Drew will stay as a back up who gets playing time on matinee games and such. He can also play a little second to give Pedey some rest every so often. This is only IF Iggy comes out on fire... The guy who is already on fire is Bradley.

Hey guys, I haven't checked in with Talksox for a while. The main reason for that is at I only come on during baseball season and with Opening Day a week from tomorrow, this is that time. Let me just say I'm really excited about this Red Sox season and even bet a friend $100 that the Sox would make the playoffs AND the Yankees would come in last. :thumbsup:

This really has to be one of the weirdest tournaments ever. Upsets, bad calls, good and crazy shots. I'm really entertained.

I don't want to make predictions, but overall I think the Red Sox will win 90 games, Hanrahan will lead the league in saves, Ellsbury and Middlebrooks will put up great numbers, Napoli close behind, Lester, Buchholz and Doubront will be the aces of the staff. Projected AL East Standings: Orioles 92-70 Red Sox 90-72 Yankees 86-76 Blue Jays 81-81 Rays 72-90 AL Central and West will be weaker with only Guardians, Tigers and Angels and A's, and maybe Rangers competing in those divisions.

I'm actually looking forward to this season. Napoli, Hanrahan, Drew, and Farrell bring a lot of promise, but the ALEast is gonna be a five team race this year.

We got a two day GT going here? This is the best ball the Sox have played all here. When there's no pressure on them, they're a great team. An 81-81 finish is still possible!

Yeah, reminds me of Seattle. Seahawks are their best shot. Mariners have been bad for 10 years, and Sonics moved to Oklahoma City(Go Thunder!).
