  1. Hurdle gets NL as expected.
  2. Week 11: Russell Wilson vs Vikes or Tommy Terrific @ Carolina?
  3. Is it official for Farrell and Manager of the year yet?
  4. On a side note, Myyyyyyyeeeeerrrrrrrrsssss wins AL ROTY.
  5. Yep. No surprises, now we move to the next stage.
  6. I don't know if the Sox will pay him 30M though. He's stupid if he expects to stay here.
  7. For the most part, I agree with you. Barmes is actually a perfect fit in the middle IF. I would love to see him sign, even if it is just for a year. As for Beltran and McCann, I think we are setting our sights too big. There's really no reasonable shot at those two signing. I wouldn't mind Young, but I have a bet with Pal that Ells will stay, so I'm sticking to that. Brian Wilson is high risk guy. He might be lights out, or he might be the next Eric Gagne. Taz is a perfectly good set up man, plus we will have Hanrahan back (correct me if wrong). Salty is the only FA I'm really unsure about. I can see a good team with him, and a good team without him.
  8. Getting tired of Bama being #1. Really looking forward to the Iron Bowl this year. Auburn could be in the top 5 by then.
  9. I took Keenum in one of my leagues.
  10. NL getting the DH is the more realistic outcome here. The Bonus at bat would ruin the excitement and suspense of the game.
  11. Does the new Mariners manager have any ties with Ells? I haven't found any yet.
  12. It's a 6 team league. The team I have that sucks is a 10 team league. Next year, I might settle on an 8 team league.
  13. Put in a claim for Russell Wilson with Brady on bye to replace Rodgers. My other team sucks, so I've lost hope with them. My good team has had a lot of injuries this year. Steven Jackson, Reggie Wayne, Randall Cobb are all guys that I've had to drop. Tough luck.
  14. MN, youre not taking into account that Cherington will probably sign a few guys. I'm concerned that JBJ isn't ready to be the everyday CF, which is also why I think Ells should stay. I'm also not a huge fan of JBJ himself.
  15. Again, I don't expect him accept the QO.
  16. So even if Salty stays, we can still trade Lavarnway for Butler. Lavarnway is a good young catcher, and some teams could be drooling over him. Ross has two years left tops, so by 2015, Butler could be the new thing. From what I've seen of Butler, he could be the next Jason Varitek but faster, and a better hitter.
  17. I'm not saying trade Lavarnway right now. Trade him when Butler is fully developed, meaning the end of 2014 at the earliest.
  18. Little bit more than 15 bombs.
  19. I agree that Drew should go, especially with Cecchini being added to the mix by 2015. With Salty leaving, I would trade Lavarnway and call up Butler, but only trade Lavarnway when we think Butler is ready.
  20. I remember sitting on the beach in Cape Cod reading threads talking about the Sox missing the playoffs after that stretch. I wanna go back in time and smack you all upside the head.
  21. This is what I don't get. We don't know what he and his agent are thinking. He's got to accept that he'll only get Crawford money in his dreams. No reason at all to leave.
  22. Deal, but it might have to be two tickets because I can't drive myself up there.
  23. I'll vouch for BTR here. That comeback vs Seattle was the turning point in the season.
  24. Yes. I expected him to reject the QO, but stay eventually. I see the Sox offering him close to what Seattle will offer him.
  25. I'm waiting to see how this all plays out. When he stays here, I reserve the right to rub it in all of your faces.
