What are your guys' thoughts on XB leading off? Based on how he hit last postseason, it seems like he may emerge at some point during the year as a good candidate.
I've said this before, but I had an opportunity to go to the Opening Series. However, Friday is a schoolday, and I will either be trying out for the school baseball team that weekend, or playing AAU basketball. Oh, how I wish I could be grown sometimes. I plan on becoming either a pilot or sports journalist, so either way I'll have a free ride to games like this in the future. I'll be back in Boston in mid-April when the Sox are in Toronto for a college visit to Northeastern (not for me). You guys have all the luck.
So I just read that the Bruins represented 5 countries in Sochi, but I can't think of the last one. I know about Canada, Slovakia, Sweden and Finland, and Bergeron, Chara, Eriksson, and Rask, respectively. Who am I missing?
Hey VJ, I would quote you, but it's too long and you quoted multiple people. I completely agree with everything you said about JBJ and Sizemore. We can't afford to push JBJ. Everyone's already doubting Sizemore. If he breaks camp healthy, I think he'll make a pretty big impact. Last season was all about the players you wouldn't expect to be stepping up and were stepping up.
It was nice to see Rask get the shootout. Always like seeing the Bruins players do well, regardless of what side they're on. I'll be rooting for Bergeron tomorrow.
If WMB struggles, I'd experiment with Cecchini. Assuming we'll need some youth behind the plate in the dog days, we have Lavarnway. I want to see him hit better, for his own sake.
