    It's all good. A Lightning-Rangers East Finals really intrigues me, as does a Ducks-Blackhawks West Finals.

    It's been fun either way. The next time you see me, things may be different. I need closers, fast. On Tuesday, Gregerson will be the only true closer I have left, but I'm torn because I want to keep Wade Davis. He's been great, but Holland is coming back. I have my eyes on a few guys that are coming off the DL soon.

    Well, I'm pleased with my team. I do need one more closer, at least, with Wade Davis being slated to be moved down. The other one I have is Luke Gregerson. I picked up Dellin Betances earlier on in the week with the intent of keeping ERA and WHIP low, not expecting him to be a closer. Another true closer, and I'll feel satisfied. I feel like I have one of the best offenses in our TalkSox league though.

    I really don't want to trade any of my starters (except Votto, who you don't need) for what I'm getting in return, so its either Alexei or AJ Pollock, who I have strong sentimental value to, but will give away.

    The Yankees streak won't continue. Remember the first week of the season? We went into New York and dominate the 1st two games? Then the Yankees blow us out in the last game? That's when their run started, and we have the chance do something similar with a win tonight. They've come here and handled us pretty easily in the first 2 games.

    Call me crazy, but I'm sticking to what I've been saying since January: Red Sox will win the World Series. This team is too good to not come together. The offense will hit its stride soon, and will be able to bail out some of the games in which the pitching isn't great.

    Somebody want to tell me what is going on in Houston? They're good 2 years early. Sports Illustrated said they would beat the Cubs in the 2017 WS.

    Okay, take it how you want. It doesn't bother me. There's Yankee influence in my life. If you've noticed, I've never really used strong language to describe them one way or another. I'm too young to remember the glory days of the Rivalry, in '03 and '04, and so forth. I mean, I hate the Yankees, of course, but because of my age, I don't know from experience why I'm supposed to hate them. Of course, you do remember my tales of Jeter being a big inspiration to my style of play until I became a full time outfielder, at which point I turned to Jacoby (still on the Sox at that point).

    Kimmi, you probably have as good comebacks as anyone else on this site. I'm not ceasing to be impressed.

    I still need time to judge where this season is going. We can't declare Hanley to be the best offseason signing yet, not only because we've played 24 games, but also because he needs to improve defensively. If we look at whee the new acquisitions are right now, it appears like Sandoval is the best signing, because of his great defense and recent hot streak. But for now, it can change constantly, because it is SO DAMN EARLY IN THE SEASON. As UN said, we can't jump to conclusions. I don't know about you, but I thnk this team still needs to come together. The offense has been great, but yet can be better. The pitching has the capability, as we've seen the last 3 games now with Porcello, Masterson, and Miley. We'll come to form and have games where both offense and defense are great. When we get there, then we can judge who the best signing of the offseason was.

    Well, then. That was a bit of a typo on my part. I meant to say "I'm loving it right now, but the fact of the loss brought me down a bit."

    I agree. He's filthy, and also happens to be on my fantasy team. I'm loving it right now, despite the fact of the Sox loss.

    Just finished doing a game as an umpire. Slightly disappointed to see the loss, but it is safe to say that Miley loves Thunder mojo.
