  1. So now we're rolling. Since Nieves left, both Miley and Kelly have cleaned up their act. I guess there are such things as miracles. Now if only Buch can put together a similar outing to Opening Day. WIN!
  2. Yes, except the game that Felix pitches.
  3. If Cruz hits one out, we'll lose. That's all it comes down to. If he doesn't hit one out, this is another park that may be just big enough to save the Sox.
  4. Have you seen King Felix's stats this year? Early favorite for AL CY imo. We got him coming up this weekend. Sonny is good, but not one of the best we'll see all year. We have the possibility of seeing Harvey, anyone on the Tigers' staff that is deadly, and cannot overlook Weaver. We might see him on the next home stand, maybe even at the game I'm going to. I haven't calculated who's slated to pitch in that series yet, since it's still too far out.
  5. This part of the city will be rocking later tonight. The Warriors are playing right across the street. Good thing this wasn't a night game.
  6. Don't get me wrong. I did enjoy it, but it was quite the contrast from Fenway. I'm ashamed that I've only been to 3 other parks besides Fenway: Oakland, Cleveland, and Yankee Stadium. I wish I could get to experience more of these parks.
  7. Way to go Nava! We need RBI hits!
  8. Did Wade Miley really just work out of a jam? We gotta win this game now.
  9. This field looks even shittier in person. It's not in a great neighborhood at all. I was there for a Rays-A's game in 2010. Neither team was good. We walked up to the box office in the 1st inning and got tickets right behind the A's bullpen in the first row. With all the foul territory, it still looked far away.
  10. This yard just might be big enough to keep Miley in this one.
  11. To most people my age. Not to me. 70 will be my dad's age this coming fall. I have a brother in his 40s. I have niece who is 3 months younger than me.
  12. Guess you haven't been to my school. There are some teachers that are up there. Recently one of my friends brought in his dad's yearbook from 1985, which was full of many of the same bright and shining faces.
  13. First 8 in the lineup is the same as Opening Day, for once. Swihart obviously replaces Hanigan in the 9 hole, but Swihart is better offensively. We got our offensive firepower back (hopeully). Now we just need to hone in the pitching.
  14. That's fine. At this point, I'll take any closer.
  15. Day 3, let's go. I'm thinking we go 6-1 on the West Coast (King Felix is pitching one of the Seattle games, so I can't be too sure). WIN
  16. Waiting on you to accept the trade UN. We already agreed on the formalities.
  17. Hate these west coast games because I can never see them. Looks like we're on a roll though! Go Sox! Go Kimmi!
  18. Day 2 of Kimmi mojo!!!!! WIN

Indeed I am. I live about 25 minutes from Hartford, and 35 from Cromwell, the town that the tournament is in. I'm off to the east, next to Glastonbury and Manchester if you've ever heard of any big CT towns. I applied for a job at the course down the street (not the same one) while I become a member at the other one. Should be a great summer.
  20. On a third TJ surgery, wouldn't it just be a transplant of the UCL from a deceased donor?

I do play, and have for 3 years now. I hope this will be my "breakout year," as I'm finally becoming a member at the course right down the street, hoping to spend many summer days there. I was pulling for Rickie the whole way, and am glad to see him win. Sergio's prone to choking. I walked the final two holes inside the ropes with him at the Travelers Championship last year (My hometown event at which I also volunteer), and he lost by one after holding a lead much of the day. I'll remember that moment forever though, since he is the most well-known start besides Bubba to play here... so far since I've been a volunteer. Hopefully Spieth shows up in the near future.
  22. I've been waiting for some Kimmi mojo. Glad to see VA back on lineup duty as well. I had a great run.
  23. I've been watching this series. Glad to see them doing well for your sake. Overall, I haven't watched much of the Playoffs, as they just seem different without OKC in there. On a side note, how about Mike Conley tonight? He put the Warriors under pressure for the first time all season. They can easily win this series now.
  24. Even in the midst of this snafu, I just booked some tickets to the Sunday game against the Angels in the next homestand, 2 weeks from tomorrow. I've been wanting to get to a game, since I didn't go to one last year. My uncle won two seats behind home plate at some golf tournament, so he will be going with my aunt, so we thought we'd tag along. We'll be in a Loge Box on the 3rd base side just past the protection of the screen. I don't care if we're still struggling at that point. I'm glad to get to see the likes of Trout and Pujols in person for the second time, no less.

Being as young as I am, he's been part of my influence on the game.
