  1. That post was before the 4th quarter, OT, and Curry's half court GW. I take it back.
  2. I was just being facetious.
  3. I don't know about wire to wire. I did start 0-1-1, you know.
  4. You're probably right, I'm just a little shocked. He usually calls the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship Game, which is right around Opening Day. I guess his contract with WEEI was a little looser.
  5. Wait, O'Brien's there? Can't believe ESPN would let him off. He's so great with Dick Vitale.
  6. This will be extremely competitive. I can't wait. The only downside to having 12 teams is that my offense won't be stacked like last year. No way I can get Harper, Cespedes, Donaldson, and Giancarlo again.
  7. Even at Fenway's RF? I like his arm better in CF there.
  8. If game #162 is suspended, they'll grant each team half a win each.
  9. 7:00 would also work for me. Nothing like sound a draft while watching the Final Four.
  10. I have no response to this beauty.
  11. Okay.... That should be okay. It wouldn't conflict with a game or anything, but I'm leaving for the Caribbean the week after that, and my uncle might want to hone in my golf game. But, that's irrelevant right now. I'll make it work.
  12. Oh. I was not aware of that. Is it the same time?
  13. I wouldn't go that far, and I'm trying to stay out of this brewing brouhaha, but healthy competition is good for forums like ours. We can't have everyone agreeing with each other. That gets boring.
  14. Good luck everyone! As more info has come out, I have learned that I can't do the draft at its scheduled time, even if the time of my tryouts gets moved.
  15. I guess this is what I was trying to say last night. Somehow, he found a way to be very productive in SF, and just wasn't last year, and who knows why? IIRC, Mike Lowell had troubles at 3B when he first moved from the NL to Fenway, and it's a known phenomenon that the change from NL to AL is not always easy.
  16. I have better range.
  17. I agree with this 100%. His offense from here on out is a wild card. If he continues to swing for the fences all the time, either he will blow out his shoulders and be decimated to Lord knows what kind of role, or he will turn into a Manny type hitter (in his later years) who has a tendency to strikeout a bunch, and might occasionally get lucky and put a ride into one. Either way, it would be a liability. When we got him, we expected him to be one of the best hitters on this team. Just a major disappointment.
  18. It would just be better if I went out there and played third, which is saying something because I haven't played third regularly in a while.
  19. Basically the first NBA game I've watched all year is this slug fest between Golden State and OKC. Reminds me why I lost interest in the NBA, and why right now, the college game is so much better: The NBA seems to have never heard of defense.
  20. No, but in SF he was known for laying out from time to time and then making a strong throw across the diamond. Didn't see much of that last year, but it's still a possibility.
  21. I still think there's plenty of time for everything to work itself into place. ST games haven't even started yet. We can't determine if Pablo's weight will affect his defense until we see it in games. How are we to know if Hanley can really handle 1st base until live balls from live scenarios in games. Those drills only do so much. He'll work up confidence. I'll not saying he'll be great or anything, but he'll be good enough. In my view, if he hits like he did last April, his defense will be tolerable. Of course, there's Shaw in there too. If we can only wait a year and have Hanley play DH (or 3B, with Pablo at DH), with Shaw at 1st, then life would be good.
  22. I hate to be one of those guys, but didn't E-Rod kinda sorta have his breakout over the last couple months of last year? Aren't we just expecting that from him know? I don't think a good year from him should be considered a breakout. It should be considered as meeting expectations.
  23. Definitely Vazquez. I think he's the next Yadier. Has more potential on the offensive side, which is obviously very rare for a catcher.
  24. 90ish, AL East champs, host CLE/HOU in Game 1
  25. Amen to that!
