  1. I like Betts in RF, especially for Sunday home games. I like JBJ in center, as long as he continues to hit like he did to close last season. The biggest thing is making sure all the pieces fit perfectly. Mookie especially needs to get accustomed to right in ST, because this OF unit will be so important to this team. We have the potential to have one of the best all around OFs in the league, but JBJ needs to play to his offensive potential, and Mookie needs to make sure he doesn't lose his touch over in right.
  2. Pineda looks terrible, Panda looks encouraging. He did make some great strides at the plate in August and September IIRC, so hopefully, this helps is hitting as well as his mobility.
  3. "There's no way they would possibly think to test me again."
  4. The only series for me this year that is a must is Aug 12-14 vs Arizona. AJ's finally coming to down. He recently donated a jersey to my school. I stare at it every morning, and think about him every time I stand in the outfield during a game.
  5. I had the best roster by far, and dominated in the regular season, but Ted got me in the title game. I'm back to finish this year, but with aspirations of playing for the school team, I'm not sure how much free time I'll have.
  6. Definitely. He didn't even need 3 months to show that he couldn't really handle the extra hitter in the AL.
  7. Indeed it was, but only on offense. My worst offensive performance in that last week showed that I couldn't rely on pitching. In fact, my losses came when the offense had a down week.
  8. Welcome aboard!
  9. Well, this is the time of year I take my TalkSox siesta. I don't really follow any hot stove stuff, so you know, I have no purpose here until March. See ya then!
  10. It may be saying something that my fantasy football team won for the first time, on the same day that my fantasy baseball team was lackluster.
  11. Congrats, Ted. My first loss in 3 months came at the wrong time.
  12. So all of them, since they all start at 3:00.
  13. This is the closest matchup I've had in two months, yet it's for all the marbles.
  14. I saw that too. I would have retweeted, but I didn't have the time. I got a good laugh at that too.
  15. Sox went 17-10 in September.
  16. Or, as they say on ESPN, M-M-M-Moooooooooooookie
  17. 4-1=.500 finish
  18. This is great. If Porcello can hold it together, a .500 finish isn't out of the question.
  19. 1 run allowed in the last 36 innings certainly isn't bad. Good way to end the season.
  20. Routine tune-up. Lovullo said he played him too much in the quest for 500.
  21. I think he's better as a starter.
  22. How about a sweep to dampen the spirits of the Yankees heading into the WC game? It would certainly help toward the goal of getting to the month of October without being mathematically eliminated.
  23. Indeed. Might get interesting if starters are rested later on in the week.
  24. Loved the Orsillo tribute. Seems as if I've vanished off the face of the Earth here recently, eh? Well, I just have one final goal for this team: Make it to October without being mathematically eliminated.
