  1. Excuse me, but I came to a forum full of Red Sox fans, or at least that's what I thought I was coming to. When did this become a Patriots only forum? And I wasn't expecting the reaction that I got, because I thought we were all civilized people that were mature enough to accept that people like different sports teams than us, and as a result, have different opinions than us. I only gave my reaction to the ruling as being satisfied because I for one was tired of hearing about Deflategate the minute the Super Bowl ended, because the result of that Super Bowl proved that nothing would have changed if the balls had been properly inflated in the AFC Championship.
  2. Are you blind? Put this in the All Star Game Thread. Hate to backseat mod, but you've done this repeatedly.
  3. You guys are calling a 10-6 team trash. Stop it. You and everyone else. The day after the loss to the Bills to end the season, my history teacher comes up and starts laughing at me. He's a Ravens fan, and they came in last. What does he have to laugh about? What do you guys have to laugh about? Be gracious that you are fans of two of the most successful sports franchises of the last 15 years. Nobody likes a sore winner. I respect the hell out of the Patriots, but not their fans, for this reason. Pats fans act like a bunch of pussies every time they lose, like they've never seen a loss before. Guess what? It's a part of life. Deal with it. If it pleases you to associate the Jets, or any other team in any sport, with failure, as a laughingstock, or a detriment to the league, then keep those sentiments to yourself. People are fans of teams for a reason. My aunt and uncle in Ohio are lifelong Browns fans. Their passion is unlike anything I've ever seen. Everyone calls the Browns trash, but they aren't trash in the eyes of their best fans, they're heroes. When the Patriots dynasty finally falters, you'll see what I mean. I saw the Jets as heroes on December 26, 2015, the happiest day in my life. I watched them pull off the upset against the Pats from a hotel lobby in Colorado, surrounded by numerous New Yorkers (Jets fans), who were all going crazy. You Boston sports fans are spoiled. The reason everyone in the NFL hates the Patriots is because of their fans. Take a similar franchise, the Spurs. They've been on a run of dominance for a little longer than the Pats. Does everyone in the NBA hate them? No, because the team and their fans are classy as hell, modest, and respectful to all the other teams in the league.
  4. Shut the f*** up
  5. Hate to break the bad news. Miami and Buffalo are among the first 4 opponents though, making the AFC East much more wide open.
  6. I'm pleased with the ruling, even though it doesn't impact the Jets at all, since they don't play each other until late November.
  7. Nah, I'd DFA Mookie after he GIDP.
  8. Good. They kicked Reynolds and Verducci out of the booth.
  9. My prediction tonight: Mookie goes deep, Xander, JBJ, and Ortiz each have a double. Wright doesn't allow a baserunner, and AL wins 7-4.
  10. Go to the no-no thread.
  11. I think somebody different has to start the GT until we lose, then we should go back to normal.
  12. Team Thunderstruck's All Stars: Jose Altuve Eduardo Nunez Cole Hamels Aaron Sanchez Bartolo Colon Jeurys Familia Noah Syndergaard Jose Fernandez Daniel Murphy
  13. It really is amazing. 10 of those RBIs came this weekend. I've been sitting back and watching him rack in the numbers for my fantasy team as well, so I'm a happy camper all around.
  14. Even I don't mess with the mojo!
  15. I'm always hesitant when a proven closer is forced to go to a set up role. We see what happened to Koji this year. It's a great move, but I'm a little wary.
  16. They'll be fine without him. They're not going to be a championship contender, but they're still definitely a playoff team.
  17. Agreed. Sucks that we're starting to play better right before the Break.
  18. Betts Altuve Trout Ortiz Hosmer Machado Bradley Bogaerts Perez
  19. The stats show that OKC was significantly better without KD in the lineup over the last two years.
  20. Shoot me an offer. I have too many above average starting pitchers.
  21. I don't really care. I still feel like there is something magical in the air. You know the fan base won't let them stay down too long, if they go down at al.
  22. This moves makes no sense to me. The last place I thought we needed help was infield, even if the INF defense has been somewhat of a liability lately, sans Bogaerts.
  23. So, being an OKC fan, y'all probably expect me to be pissed out of my mind. Actually though, I'm glad KD left. I didn't want him to, but now that he has, I think the team will be better. Westbrook really took over the team the last two years, and from my viewpoint, KD was getting in the way. With Westbrook as the undisputed leader, and the acquisition of Oladipo as his sidekick, I see big things coming, especially with the team of Adams and Kanter down low, both of whom showed how tough they were in the playoffs.
