  1. You must have missed my pre-game post. Go Sox!!
  2. Good Luck Red Sox! Need a big win here and no injuries. Go Red Sox!!! Drew takes one deep tonight, guys. Bank on it. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a287/Rendragyn/Haveabeer.gif
  3. I always looked at it as a popularity contest. Look how many times Jeter has won it.
  4. With my younger brother being a big time Cardinals fan...I remember way back when...You could pick up KMOX in Alabama and he would listen to the Cardinals games on his AM radio. Jack Buck and Mike Shannon...Seemed Shannon was always drunk after the 6th inning. (Sometimes comically so.) (This was early 80's)
  5. Good Luck Red Sox! Need a big win here and no injuries. Go Red Sox!!! Since this Series is all about unlikely things...Drew goes deep tonight. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a287/Rendragyn/lookaround1.gif

  7. Watching MLB Network and they had the call on the pick off from Fox and the Cardinals radio KMOX. Both were amazed that Napoli was holding Wong at first and leaving a huge hole in the infield. At least the KMOX drunkard had the guts to admit "I guess that's why he was holding him."
  8. I have faith in Lackey, but not sure about coming in relief. Very scared.
  9. Ellsbury is playing like he doesn't want to get injured and ruin his payday. I can't believe we can't hit better than this.
  10. Yeah, I was severely disappointed in Salty all night. The Red Sox offense overall has been not what I expected.
  11. My original thought was, "are you ****ing crazy?" However, you make a compelling argument with the 1968 example. I don't think it will happen, though.
  12. I would think he is fairly familiar with that field since his time with the Phillies.
  13. Thanks. I was just wondering if any advantage is to be had by our hitters or pitchers. Obviously, St. Louis gets an advantage for it being their home field, but just wondered if any of our hitters or pitchers would get an advantage there.
  14. Any thoughts on how the Sox will do in the Cardinals ball park? I know we lose Napoli, though I am sure he will be a late inning defensive replacement. Any similar parks in the AL that we have played in to get an idea what to expect from the offense? Will Peavy have an epic game, or wilt again?
  15. Unfortunately, I had to work during games one and two. It seems like in Game one, the Cardinals pretty much gave away the game with their errors. In Game two, they seemed more settled down. (I admit, I did not get to see either game. I am going off of reading about the games, and seeing highlights after the fact.) I am hoping we can rebound and really bring out the bats in game three.
  16. Red Sox vs. Cardinals in the WS just like in '04. Red Sox win it all.
  17. I keep hearing as an excuse that obviously we exceeded expectations because Henry & Co. left Ben alone to run things. I find this an interesting theory, but wonder where is the proof? I'm not doubting anyone who is using this excuse to being wrong about Cherington. What I am asking is where is the proof to this idea? Just curious since a lot of people on here seem to know what is definitely going on in the inner workings of the Red Sox. (Also, did you feel the same way when Cherington made the moves he did in the offseason?)
  18. You have to say the proof is in winning the AL East. He has done an excellent job assembling a very cohesive team.
