  1. Looks like Bedard. (According to Heidi Watney on NESN.)
  2. I don't think anything of note is going to happen. I think with what was out there, and what the asking price was...it wasn't in the Sox interest to pull the trigger on any of them. This trade deadline will end with a fizz...not a bang.
  3. I think it is a decent acquisition at best. The best part about it is it didn't cost us that much, (depending on who the PTBNL might be). It was not too long ago that most on this board were hoping and praying that we did not get Harden, and now that he is ours, all of a sudden its a great trade for someone who is going to dominate. I think getting back with Young will be beneficial to him, and I am hoping for the best with him. I am not trying to knock anyone. It's a decent trade for us and we seem to only lose a player who had no future with the Red Sox anyways.
  4. I am not saying Nova is all that or anything, but a lot of Red Sox fans were hoping we would trade Buch a while back for something we thought would be better. I am just saying, maybe NY sees something in him that others don't.
  5. I totally agree. I understood at the time why he left, but I have been hoping he would return every year. I would love to see him in his RS #10 again.
  6. That absolutely can not be true. I simply refuse to believe anyone in the organization is that dumb.
  7. I would absolutely LOVE to see us pick him up.
  8. I have to go with AGon. He has been stellar all year. I love Pedroia, but he didn't really become a beast until the AllStar snub. I love when he gets motivated like he is, but AGon has been steady and productive. If Gonzalez stays on pace, no way he doesn't win MVP.
  9. Sabathia will be a FA this off season.
  10. I agree. I love that the Sox stopped trading away the farm system for veterans. If that cycle had not been broken, we would never have seen the likes of Pedroia, Youk, Buch, etc. I think we should go with what we have if upgrading would be too expensive. I like what we are developing in the farm system.
  11. This. I don't care if it bothers anyone. I'm a fan, if anyone doesn't like it...too bad.
  12. I just read an entire page of "I know you are, but what am I?" posts. As stated earlier, if the Mets want a top tier prospect, then I would rather play out the season with someone else.
  13. I was shocked at our first 2 picks in the NHL draft. I did not think either would be available at the time. I was greatly pleased!
  14. Ft. Lauderdale. I lived there until I was 16. We only had the Dolphins for a pro team. After my love for the Sox became entrenched, I kind of gravitated to the other teams in Boston, (Celtics thanks to Bird, and the Bruins thanks to Neely.)
  15. I have been a fan since my Grandfather had me watch the WS vs. the Reds. I grew up in S. Florida, but I have lived in AL for quite some time. I also follow the Bruins and Celtics. For football, it has always been the Miami Dolphins, and my alma mater, Auburn Univ. Just found this site and it looks more to my taste than some of the other sites. Go Sox!!!
