  1. Is this our brand new GM? Really? WTF?
  2. You should be my business advisor!
  3. Welcome mate, Enjoy!
  4. Ecole cua = Exactly!
  5. Ecole cua!
  6. If he had put his career numbers or something around we would have made the POs.
  7. I definitely have more hopes in Crawford than Lackey, But still my hopes doesn't take away my big disappointment about his 2011 performance. He better put the numbers or his signing could turn out into one of the biggest frustrations in our history since the terms of his contract.
  8. Really? Hahahaha
  9. They should recall it the optimisticfangraphs
  10. Which ERA range would you expect from him? I would expect and being optimistic a 5.0+ ERA which is something in the middle at 2010-2011; 1.4 pts. below his 2011 record (6.4) and 0.6 pts above his 2010 record (4.4). If this even happens, I don't want him at any part of our rotation, do you? What worries me the most about Lackey beyond the stats is his delivery the last years. It is getting worse and worse. His fast ball is a complete joke. But That's me.
  11. Where would you put 2011 Crawford? He is on the edge. He is 0 WAR; in the bench list or in the J.L./AJ classification?
  12. It's ok man. Don't worry. If you think that about Lackey, I respect that, but still I don't see how he could come back, but that's me, anyway... You will notice that some people here use advanced stats (sabermetrics ) in order to support their arguments like WAR. "Wins Above Replacement, commonly known as WAR, is a non-standardized sabermetric baseball statistic that is used to show how many more wins a player would give a team as opposed to a "replacement level", or minor league/bench player at that position". --WIKI If you like stats, you can find the meaning and some tables of advanced stats here http://www.tangotiger.net/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page http://www.baseball-reference.com/ Welcome, again.
  13. Hell, This reminds me the Runaway Train chorus by Soul Asylum "RUNAWAY TRAIN NEVER GOING BACK WRONG WAY ON A ONE WAY TRACK SEEMS LIKE I SHOULD BE GETTING SOMEWHERE SOMEHOW I’M NEITHER HERE NOR THERE..."
  14. Welcome!
  15. I'm not sure how much money SD is putting on the table, but at least I would use the remaining money as a part to bring another decent SP or something. It is definitely not a good business but We won't see any penny back from him anyway --As I said, Lackey wasn't profitable even in 2010 in terms of ROI (I already shared the table) -- so... I've seen enough from him. IMO he is done. so... We should turn the page, and unfortunately eat great part of his contract. 80 MTheollars, Huh?... That hurts.
  16. What weighs more in the OBP stat, hits or walks? what is typically the mix percentage between these events? which event is more difficult to execute?
  17. Bingo! It is not prudent and mostly it is not sane at all IMO after all this mess. As Coco said, there's no way that Theo is coming back but I just wanted to put my question in perspective.
  18. Exactly!... It goes beyond the country, business size or vertical industry. Private Business often execute this way.
  19. Seems like A700 and I have crystal ball huh!
  20. Trust me, I was a huge fan of CC even when he used to play for TB. I don't need to look at stats in order to know that he was the man that I wanted for Boston (As almost any fan like A700 wanted at that point). But again, why bring a 142 M player in order to occupy 6-9 spot? why? As simple fans, maybe we don't care about the money, and still we probably would've brought the guy even occupying the 6th spot, but as a owner? It doesn't make sense. It is a lot of money. That's my point E1. About Markakis sure, maybe he was not the best example, but still believe that he wouldn't cost 142 MUSD, not even close. About his arbitration thing, Pence was in a similar situation just like Nick but the Phillies could make the deal, we? Of course no, we don't have the pieces or something, excuses, excuses, excuses; I almost forget that we can't make those kind deals.
  21. I have a question for all those Theo fans... At this point and after all this speculation and mess around this team and after all the things that the FO, players and media have said in the last couple of weeks, Do you consider sane and prudent that Theo finishes his one year contract left in Boston?
  22. I expect he to be gone with Lackey or someone of his busts. As I said, why JH is saying a lot sweet things about Theo? Read between lines!
  23. 51%?... I'd make the deal in a heartbeat...
