If we sign the SP and if this team stays healthy, we will run likely a top tier team next year. The problem is that we have not signed the SP and some of our key guys like Crawford and Kalish are between cottons and the season has not even started.

I agree. That's the beauty of this game. Anything can happen. Nevertheless and trying to be realistic, our team is not in the same tier where TEX, NY, LAA are right now. IMO We are in a second tier. We are with DET, TB and if you rush me Toronto and the White Sox. We'll see.

Well, I just read all this fight. We should move on guys. All of you are great posters, the old, the new and the newest. Everyone has the right to emit an opinion. We can agree or disagree, in the end, this is all about, but we should respect each other. Back to baseball. Seems like the wild card is in the west guys, what do you think?

If his attitude affects this team in some way (ex. chemistry), I'll care. I do not have all the elements to judge him but after reading here and there about his attitude, I guess that the guy simply lost the floor. Hopefully BV bring him back to earth.

I would do the same, you bet, but If the point is demand answers right now, It won't make sense. Look, The medical staff is gone, The coaching staff is gone, Tito is gone and Theo is gone. Whom will you demand answers Elk? Luchino? IMO this answer among a lot others were not satisfactory reason why all they walked.

I do not have "los pelos de la burra en la mano". But let me tell you something SS, If this confirmed, Our medical staff + ? were even more horrible than I could have possibly thought, this is simply unacceptable. :thumbdown

This is a the BL of this issue. This was totally unexpected to me. Hell, suddenly our depth in the OF got short. Reddick is gone. Crawford is likely gone a couple of months. Only God knows when Kalish is coming back. McDonald is a piece of s***. Aviles is not a natural OF... Our hopes rest on the kid that just arrived from Oakland who BTW doesn't scare nobody and is prone to injuries. On the other hand a lot have already said about our pitching. A lot of "ifs" and "?", regardless NY, LAA, TEX, DET and if you rush me the Rays are above us at this point. A700, You have solid reasons to feel this way.

The current scenario is not encouraging at all, plus Look at NYY, LAA, Tex, Det and the Rays. Fred, You have watched a lot of baseball and a lot of situations through years in order rate Ben's job and give him a final grade even though the offseason has not ended yet. Your opinion shouldn't be taken lightly in this board. You are a wise man. Expirience has given you a lot of knowladge. On the other hand, I'm not that expirienced. I want to keep my last light of faith. I need to wait till this offseason is over in order to emit an opinion about his job.

Interesting and makes sense. Hell, If STL pays me likely the same why the hell will I go to the ALE? Where would you go if that were the scenario? STL or BOS?
