Well, I re-read the last pages of this thread and I found out jung's theory very interesting. It's not about what or how they are negotiating with Oswalt (of course nobody knows), but the signs that jung has seen in this matter (business environment + timing + business scenarios etc). On the other hand, I won't be surpriesed if even Jackson or Wandy arrive to Boston. Either way, this is becoming very interesting. We'll see how it ends, hopefully with the SP.

I'm not Floyd's fan but he is healthy and has put consistently 4.0 ERA over the past 4 years, nothing else to ask for a #4 SP

If Ross is signed tonight great, but I thought that the SP would be coming first.

Unfourtunatly this is our reality right now. Hopefully we will sign Ross and Oswalt and our reality could change dramatically, regardless Crawford and Kalish will be available early in the season. BTW where in the hell have you been TED101, you should post more often my friend. I hope everything is going alright with you and your family.

If we get Ross and Oswalt/Wandy/Floyd IMO we are going to be in the same tier where NY, LAA and TEX are right now. If true, the AL will be a dog fight in the West/East and for the Wild Card. C'mon Ben sign the damn checks!

David has a better bat than Scu, no doubt about it... But looking in retrospective and if you had asked me I would have preferred letting walk Ortiz and Keep Scu, regardless Ortiz will cost u likely the double and Scu can help u in the field as well. Also, you have Lav who could have helped you at the DH and could have shared the load with somebody else (like Aviles).

These were the signs that I saw when we just traded Scu. After reading the last posts, I'm not sure anymore, mostly after your payroll projections.
