  1. I think that the ALE has lost power. Teams like DET and now LAA are two or three steps above of any team of our division. IMHO and as it is, in the ALE Toronto and NY are front runners to win the division; TB is just behind them. Sadly and as it is, we and O's will fight for the 4th place.
  2. I would be pleased if we were signed guys like Johnson, Reyes and Bonifacio. They already have Pepe Bautista, Lawrie and Encarnacion. C'mon, this will be very tough team next year.
  3. Welcome beee. I know that my wish list is just a pipe dream, seeing the way our FO has been executing since last offseason. We'll see though.
  4. Lets face it, at this point is complicated to get even a number 2 as I wish, even via trade IMO. Who would really like a player who is made of glass and will hit the FA next year? Philly? Texas? IDK but if so, set a package around Ells and Salty and see if they trade a pitcher. If you complete that trade with Philly/Tex. or other team, get Bourn and Swisher too. Bourn Peddy Napoli Ortiz Swisher Victorino WM Ciriaco Lav/Ross Traded Pitcher Lester Buch Dempster Lackey Depth: Douby Bailey Bard Morales Aceves Hill Tazawa Miller Like it? That is a big market team... instead we are executing this offseason like KC and A's
  5. These are some good ideas too Pal.
  6. Well, the way I see the thing is that you already have a bunch of #3-4. You just signed another. What we really need is at least a #2. Unfortunately, again, nobody is available, so you have to get this arm via trade or cross fingers that Buch and Lester bounce back.
  7. Really?, I mean really? Several posters have put a lot of ideas since 2011... problem is that time has passed and several players have already signed/traded with other teams and the deck is getting thin since then. For example, Unfortunately what I was suggesting few days ago is banished. I would have signed Sanchez and Jackson. At what price? Say ... 120 M both. Overpaid? You bet, but at least you would have had a decent rotation this year, and next year if needed you could look for a #1 pitcher trading some prospects/players.
  8. Sounds like last season scenario Pal. A lot ?s, and you know what happened. Hopefully this time the story is different.
  9. Hi Emmz. All I'm saying is that since he's been in this board, I have noticed that some posters have been attacking him constantly and Fred only points at players, GM, etc. while others take his posts personal, and I still do not know why. I thought that you liked Fred. He is a nice guy IMO.
  10. I have no problem with Emmz' opinion. Emmz is one of my favorite posters and I consider her my friend, but in this case I think she's wrong the way I see the things. It is what it is for me, brah.
  11. I'm not selective, Fred is always attacked by few posters included you. Sorry, it is what it is.
  12. While Fred talks about baseball, some posters attack him, CLASSIC!. C'mon guys, Fred is a great poster. Even with those posters who attack him, he always shows respect in the way he talks to them. I think he is a very respectful poster and brings a lot to the table; sure, he can be right or wrong in some topics, but he always talks about baseball and I often find out funny his jokes and nicknames. I'm not sure why some people take his posts so personal regardless always those posts are not directed to them, anyway... Everybody needs to calm down and back to baseball. Hopefully all this Napoli delay is about paper work and nothing related with his physical status. Would be great have him and go after Swisher too.
  13. Money is not equal to success but definitely give you better chances to succeed.
  14. From the distance seems like they could spend more if something else were available LOL. IMO they have a very good team, but IMO the problem will be all the egos around that locker room. If they can manage that, IMO they shall be considered the front runner to win the NL.
  15. LOL SD is after Jackson. The f***ing Padres, Geez Ben.
  16. Wow... LAA have Weaver, Wilson, Pujols, Hamilton, Trout, etc... Unbelievable! IMO they are the best team in the majors right now.
  17. That would be awesome!
  18. We need to push fast and furious for Swisher, and why not explore what is Bourn asking.
  19. Those LA teams will be on paper the front runners to win their divisions and likely their respective leagues IMO. At this point West Coast>East Coast
  20. Jackson and Sanchez. Sure, they will cost you much more and probably you will overpay them, but IMO They have lot better chances to post decent numbers (around 4.00 ERA) than Dempster in Boston.
  21. Lets wait and see the terms, but it doesn't smell well since he already turned down a 25/2 offer.
  22. Seriously, I hope all this Dempster thing is just a rumor.
