  1. Seems like he turned down a 140/7 LOL! if true Boras is a f***ing greedy bastard. Choo should fire him. I bet he aint gonna get that money anywhere else. Plus, Choo doesn't worth 140 by any means.
  2. When you pay 7 M to a guy like Thorton, speaks volumes of two things: stupidity and wealth LOL!
  3. Yankees Likely To Sign Brian Roberts
  4. LOL! Is D-M still playing in the majors? Wow!
  5. I already did. They are making 90M TV rights+ Fox fee + EBIT/Y (unknown) via RSN. Plus stadium revenue around 471 M (2012) To me, They are plenty "swimming in media money".
  6. Yes they are, I already showed you.
  7. I wouldn't be surprised if an ump called it balk when he makes that move with his feet just before the throwing LOL!
  8. Yankees Turned Down Gardner-For-Phillips Swap
  9. A 100 M/5Y contract would be my cap for him, although it probably wouldn't outbid anyone LOL!
  10. LOL^^^ Anyway and back to topic, I think that we will not see a Cano/Ells/CC/Agons/Choo/etc type of contracts again in our team in the coming years.
  11. I think that neither of us really know who really make the last call for each "good"/"bad" move. Some said that LL was who traded AGON/CC/Beckett, and who is responsible of the new FA signing policy in the Boston Red Sox which was a huge cancer in the recent years...IDK. I think that we have to blame/clap the whole FO, from top to the bottom. Cherries has to be blamed in Theo's last years ternure as well, since he was part of that FO. What is his cut in that blame? who the hell knows… These days the actual FO has done very well and LL & Cherries are part of it. What are their respective cuts? IDK.
  12. I liked AGONS and a few other moves, but I didn't like at all his overall last 5-years of his tenure.
  13. …and some whining about people whining when they aren't even whining.
  14. Do you want to start a s*** storm?
  15. Hart to Seattle.
  16. The way I see the thing he has no credit at all in 2013 WS, just the opposite. He left a cancer here that the current FO had to heal.
  17. Do I want to make U? Look bad? Hahahaha how's that? Naaahhhh I'm just pointing that A700 has a point which you can disagree or not, but he is not whining at all.... Or what, do we have to agree with Theo's "good performance"? Without A700 this board wouldn't be the same as well, IMO he is the most knowledgeable baseball poster in this board.
  18. He loves to use the whining/bitching argument when somebody disagrees with him. I still can't understand why. Anyway... Have no problem with people loving Theo that much, but you have to see the whole picture. Sure, he did very well in a couple of years with a team that he didn't even assemble. Then, He left a mess here reason why JH didn't retain him, and now he has a shot in Chicago. Have no idea how the cubs owners feel about his performance thus far. In the meantime Cubs fans have to wait and see if he can help them to turn the ship in the right direction.
  19. Just asking, because the comment doesn't have sense to me.
  20. Are you saying that it is A700's fault?
  21. What A700 says has a lot of sense for some of us. You can agree or not, but it is not about whining at all.
  22. I have understood that he has 3 years left under his belt. Honestly I do not see any symptom of live in that team even in the mid-future (3Y). Next year is going to be critical. 5 Y is plenty of time to see at least some kind of foundation attached with decent results. Only time will tell, but I wouldn't be surprised either if he was replaced at the end of 2014.
  23. Asaide AJ, this is the Lup I was expecting this offseason. I don't expect other major move. They are going to use this year to value their young talent. Probably this Lup won't be the best O in baseball again, but we will be fine I guess. What we need is that our rotation at least post last year numbers. The BP will be the best part of the team if they stay healthy. I expect a 89-91 W team as assembled. We'll see.
  24. Don't worry… niether of them is coming to Boston. On the other hand I have read that Tanaka is a stud and that he will not have problems to succeed at MLB level. Who the hell knows... we just have to wait and see, if he is something between Ryu and Darvish call it deal.
  25. Well, it is simply the most popular and played sport in this planet.
