He's been consisten. They shitted the bed on Lester. They passed on Shields. Instead they offered a horrible contract to Porcello and extended a contract to Miley. At this pace your boy Ben would have assembled the worst rotation in RS history. Are you going to start with excuses?

That's not the point. CC got that contract since he proved to be a good pitcher once for several years. Porcello is making it for a fluke one, sorry, good one. -

A 4 ERA pitcher is No 3 at best. How many No. 3 are making 20 M?

Well, 2 posters already took my offer, and some were willing to bet their sig. I like to bet money but I made the sig bet with Kimmi as well. Some here were projecting an ERA around 3.5. Some here were saying that he was going to be nothing but better. Well, I offered a bet which is a bargain for them, considering those projections.

Thanks for your words Fred. I really, really wish, hope and desire that I'm wrong about my opinion regarding this pitching staff. As I said, this team is pretty unbalanced and probably they will be one of the worst rotations in baseball at the end of the season. In the end we all want that this team win but without pitching is going to be tough.

1. Who else aside U? I've been "insisting" to bet?. I made an open offer, but I'm not insisting to nobody. U? says that I do not make sense and all that ********. I said lets cut the cheap talk about Porcello and lets bet, why does it bother you? 2. If we bet about something, someone is going to be right and someone will be wrong. it is what it is regarding on what we bet. In this case if Porcello posts an era above 4, well, I'll be right while some of you wrong, it applies in the other way, no big deal. 3. There's nothing 100% sure in bets, so even when you are 100% sure, there's no guaranty. 4. I do not bet all the time when I confident about something, but in this case I would bet for fun and money. You can take it or leve it, it is up to you.

That thread is like a blasphemy here LOL! In FB, tweeter, etc. a lot of fans think that this rotation is the worst in history on paper even before the season started.

Sure it is still early, but honestly I see very little chances to turn this thing around. I can't believe we put a rotation lead by Buch and Porcello, it is a f***ing joke. The time passed and I said, ok it is going to be a year, but when they locked these two out, I said unbelievable. An orangutang would have managed this regard better.

I do not need to prove anything. On the other hand I'm willing to bet where my mouth is. I've been saying that this guy sucked, sucks, and will suck. If someone think the opposite fine, but if someone wants to back their opinions about Porcello making it more interesting and fun with a bet, I'm here.

Nope, I'm declaring that he is a bust since what he did aside last year. As I said, last year was nothing but a fluke year. Thanks to Porcello I have made a lot of money thus far betting against him, he has been easy money, and when He was announced to come to Boston that pissed me off a lot.

I extend this bet for those who do not like ERA. Let's put it in terms of fWAR. I'm willing to bet 100 USD if he posts a fWAR under 2.7 which is what he is expected to post and worth those 20 M, right?, what about that? anyone?

I would have used that money and probably more to bring a true No 2 or no 1, Shields, for example. If he shits the bed (Pretty likely) this contract will be a disaster. Are you going to take the bet or not?

... but IMO there were more ?s to be solved than certainty, reason why I think It could be a better idea wait a little bit. Miley and Porcello are a mistake already looking forward. Sure it is still early and time will tell, but I see very little chances that this ends up well.

Wouldn't be more prudent wait at least a dozen of starts to consider this kind of contract? Also, how many No 3-4 are making this money?

haha whata bulk of ********. Porcello is a bust, but lets cut the s*** up, too much talk... I bet you 200 USD that he ends up posting an ERA over 4.0. You said that he is going to post 3.5? so it will be easy money for you... and he has not even started 10 games, so you shouldn't be worried... Same goes to Porcello. I do not see anybody throwing 80 M at the end of the season for him.
